I believe when reviewing a college, you have to base it on more than just your personal…read moreexperience.... but also the things that you don't necessarily partake in, or things that don't really get thought about. First off, it's inexpensive as hell. You're talking tuition and EVERYTHING except books being like $300 per class, You're talking like $3,000 per year for full time tuition. And even if that's too much, their financial aid folk are really helpful, and chances are you'll get in there for nothing with the aid of grants. Being that it's so cheap, you're not going to have a fancy campus like Yale or anything. BUT they are still very well up to date, they just built a 20 or 30 million dollar technology building that does everything from Cybersecurity to alternative energy engineering. Your lecture classes probably won't have a hologram presentation module or anything, but who NEEDS things like that, if it keeps class affordable? The professors I've had so far have AL been very qualified and very good. My current professor in my criminology class is a high up in the local justice system, my astronomy teacher had been an astrophysicist before teaching, my old engineering professor had been a civil engineer, so it's not like you're getting professors that are just belching out things from a book, you're being taught from people, a lot of the times, who worked in the field and have real life knowledge. The student activitiy groups have had a lot of things going on, from free leadership seminars, to free movies nights, even just coffee and donut nights. Seems like there's always something around to take advantage of. I have thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience at Gulf Coast.

PCC is a great institution. It's standards are high but not unattainable. You'll find one of its…read moregreatest strengths being that of a caring staff and faculty. I'm currently in my sophomore year, and it took some adjusting to the rules when I first arrived. Understand that not every institution is going to model after your exact desires and values. PCC upholds excellence, purity, and morality where so many Christian-labeled colleges do not. If you come here with the right mindset and a willingness to persevere, you're going to be alright. You'll learn more about Christ and the Bible than you ever thought you could. Every major decision made by PCC or Campus Church is strongly influenced and/or directed by Scripture, which should be our own guide to life decisions.

Okay. Many of the reviews on here are toxic and/ or just straight wrong. Many of these people have…read morebeen to PCC in the past. As a recent graduate of PCC of '21, I am well versed in the recent college experience. First, the college itself is great. The atmosphere is fantastic and college life itself is beyond what I could've imagined. Yes, there are some teachers that are not as loving and not as compassionate as others; however, if you find the correct teachers, your college experience is great. Second, the rules are strict. As a Christian myself I find that the rules are a bit strict for my own convictions. I believe tattoos are fine, holding my girlfriends hand, and going off campus with the opposite gender is fine. The problem is the bad students will do what's wrong regardless of the rules. The rules are only prohibiting the students who just want to have a normal life back. Since I've been there, they have allowed coed groups off campus which is awesome! Overall, your gonna have some run-ins with chaperones that just don't like you, like me and my wife had while dating and engaged there. Third, if you pick the right collegian, you will have more fun then you can imagine. Picking the right collegian will help you grow so much as a person as you will meet so many new friends through that Avenue. Lastly, don't listen to some of these reviews saying that they are hateful people. The college does what it believes is right. CHRISTIANITY HAS CHRISTIAN LIBERTY! Some people don't believe tattoos are correct and some do. Are either one wrong? No! Because of Christian liberty, you are basing your life off of your own conviction through Christ. As an environment to grow in through Christ, it was amazing and I have met lifelong friends here. Please don't believe some of these post from people who were from 30 years ago or just didn't go to college here. Yes, sometimes there is some judgmental messages; however, the church is not perfect and you will not find a perfect church. One thing I hope PCC improves on is letting students go get involved with community churches. That would be such an improvement to the spiritual aspect of the college. I hope this was helpful to someone.

Redbird Art Experience is nestled within a really cool and well organized antique shop with many interesting booths. I made a reservation with Robin from Redbird via text and she was very accommodating and kind. When we arrived for our reservation, Robin explained the process to us and encouraged us to let our creativity go wild. There were many substrates to pick from including rectangular pieces of wood, frames, wood cut into shapes like mermaids, stars, hearts, and more. Once we picked our "canvases" we explored the hundreds of materials Robin has in jars, buckets, and bowls around the studio. The materials were incredible. They ranged from glass, to seashells, beads, broken jewelry bits, glass doll body parts, scrabble letters, collage paper materials, and so much more. It was so exciting and fun to dig through jars of different materials, looking for the most peculiar and interesting piece to include in my artwork. I was especially intrigued by the glass doll body parts and Robin was so encouraging and excited for me to use some! Any additional materials needed like glue, scissors, or paint were also provided by Robin. We arrived for our reservation at 12 pm and left at 4 pm and let me tell you, time flew. I had such a blast creating my artwork using materials that I've never worked with before. During our time there, Robin played some great music and offered us water and snacks which was lovely because we were there for so many hours! If you are a creative person, I strongly encourage checking out Redbird. It is totally child friendly as well. I am so bummed that I live all the way in NYC and can't come do this at least once a month. Robin is awesome, the space is fantastic and so inspiring to be in, and the prices are unbeatable. It was $25 for the picture frame I chose to make art with, and all the materials are included in the price. There's literally no better way to spend a day than at Redbird!
