I dealt with Amanda on my first trip there and she was so helpful, she helped me choose a more adequate pet food for my puppy, as he was having issues with his pet food - Iams - and was just not feeling it (and he loved it !). They have a Free Food Program, with purchase of a certain amount of bags of food you get a free bag (varies according to brand purchased). As well as option of delivery ! I've purchased dog treats, a new leash (Flexi - Canadian brand and incredibly sturdy!), and pet food from Global Pet Foods and have nothing but good things to say about them. I'm new to the Tunney's Pasture/Westboro area and was so excited to find out this weekend that they also do some pet grooming. I got to clip my dog's nails, and the location is so convenient and close to home. I just love these guys !!

They bring their pets into the store, and encourage you to do so as well. They're usually great with processing returns, though they will take your receipt and not provide a copy, so make sure you've brought in everything you needed to return. Only one bad experience. We had to return a leash and later a faulty collar, but we'd returned the leash first and got burned on the $10 collar, even though it was 100% guaranteed by the manufacturer, and it wasn't our first choice (we were going to go with leather, but let the salesperson convince us to buy the synthetic collar because of the guarantee), because they'd already taken our receipt. At least they donated the collar to a shelter, though not sure how much good it will do, since the tightener slips. Occasionally, you'll get a miss with their advice (as above), so remember that you know your pet and they don't if you're not-so-sure about their recommendation, and go with your gut. That small annoyance aside, the people who own and work at this store are wonderful. They truly care about your pet's well-being. They were incredibly helpful and supportive when my childhood cat was in her last days, offering very good advice to help me make her as comfortable as possible. When my partner and I adopted our adult husky mix, they offered great advice that was truly appreciated, and they continue to do so. A great business, and I will continue to shop with them first for anything our dog or our newly adopted cat needs, from food to nail trimmers, to toys.

You want to buy dead or soon to be dead fish, get yours from this cesspool. Most of the staff are rude and entitled and do not fear any consequence for destroying their employers business. When you tell them you want to buy a fish, they hate it, seem bothered by the act of needing to catch a fish, and they will act rude to ensure you never come back as a fishkeeper. Their tanks are disgusting, they never clean the gravel, no wonder their entire rack system is infected and has been continuously for over a year. Save your money.

They worked on her far longer than I expected, but charged only what they had quoted, which was far less than their job was worth. And they removed mats far tougher than I thought possible. They also gave me a realistic appraisal of the mats around her neck, that in future, those mats may need to be cropped. They seemed savvy and caring about dogs. I will be taking Hayley back to them. BTW, I am generally not a fan of grooming dogs. (I don't know why they've shown me in San Francisco...I'm in Chelsea, Quebec.)

I took my Miniature Poodle there and he was treated very badly. The groomer cut the skin on his…read moreshoulder but did not bother to let me know. This was a 1 cm cut! I only noticed 2 days later and don't even know if they disinfected the wound. It could have become infected but they only cared about hiding it, not worrying about my dog at all. When I found out, it was too late to use skin glue and it was really hard to remove the hair in the wound without re-opening it... On top of it, my dog who was not scared of anything is now traumatized when we use the vacuum cleaner. I suspect something happened with the hair dryer crate they use. My dog is shaking every time we vacuum now, he is 11 yo and never did that before. If you love your dog, don't go there!
