I went to the store Josh is a super great guy made me feel like i wasn't crazy but Renae said in front of me "i told you not to show or tell her" . after talking she made me feel like the ring i chose was stupid. said the base is to small diamonds are going to knock out everyone comes in for that issue it wasn't worth it and the ring they ordered is bigger and better but if i wanted they can order the ring i want but it would take 4-6 weeks again. only reason i didn't go with that is because i dont have 4-6 weeks to wait he had a plan and time frame a very tight one. if she offered a rush on the order i would have said yes let's get my dream ring but no this screwed this exciting step for us up. There was no apologies just a simple this ring is bigger and better and he shouldn't have showed me in the first place. I want the ring I chose but i feel like if we were to order it it still wouldn't be what I imagined and hoped for. I thought they specialized in custom rings and had a in house jeweler but the ring i got wasn't my custom one just one order off of Gabriel. They completely lost my trust , there was no paper or records on the ring so we decided we had to get it appraised to make sure one thing was right. They had a great selection and the best prices for the item I was looking for. I was able to purchase a $4600 bracelet for $1695.00. The $4600 was comparable to other jewelers I had priced the same bracelet and carat weight, so I got a great deal and value for my money. After giving her the bracelet, we brought it in to have it sized to fit her wrist, and they had to send it off. With the diamonds that required removing, they created a set of dangly diamond earrings for her that perfectly matched the bracelet. Zales offers a diamond bond and lifetime diamond warranty that requires the bracelet to be inspected and cleaned every six months. With the exception of the store closing during COVID-19 in 2020, we have kept up with this and taken the bracelet in for the inspection. The staff has always been helpful, friendly, and courteous in our dealings and visits. They thoroughly inspect the item I purchased from them, document the inspection and cleaning, and offer to clean her other jewelry at no charge each time we come in. Every experience we have had with Zales has been five-star and we have recommended them to many other people who have relocated to Dawsonville.

Being new to town, I decided to stop around local jewelers, explain what I wanted, and get their opinions and cost estimation. When I went in to Frank and Son, they seemed like very nice people, seemed to know what they were doing, and also gave me the best time line and cost estimation. So, I decided to leave my ring with them for the work I wanted... BIG MISTAKE! Originally, Frank himself told me the work would take 3 to 4 weeks to complete. Fair, I thought, for a jeweler to essentially create a new ring. T Six weeks later, I had no ring. Getting anxious to have it back, I decided to call Frank to see how the work was going. No joke, I tried calling just about 15 times with NO ANSWER! I got so scared that they took my jewels and ran that I stopped by the shot ASAP. To my relief, their doors were still open, and my jewels still there. However, did he even start on my ring yet? No. When I asked him when it would be ready, he said about another week. When I asked about the phone, he said he was too busy to answer it. I should've taken my ring and ran, but I made the bad decision to let him keep it. I mean, it's only a week, right? TEN WEEKS LATER I STILL HAD NO RING. Not only did he by far pass the date he told me he would be ready, but yet again would NEVER answer the phone. I finally stopped by and told him a fib that I needed my ring for engagement pictures in 2 weeks, figuring that would give him enough time to get it right. I swear I stopped by that shop every other day to hound him to get it done, and 2 weeks later, sure enough he was finished. Finally I picked up my ring and at first impression it looked great! However, the shotty craftsmanship soon started to show... the work he did was absolute crap. The setting was not as we discussed, and in 2 days the rhodium on the white gold wore off, leaving my ring with a rough yellow tint to it. Not worth the money I paid for it at all, but at that point I didn't want anything to do with Frank or his Son. Overall, not even worth one star. Frank and Son are the worst jewelers I have ever been to. Hopefully my story will help others make the right decision... STAY AWAY!!!!
