My mom and I sat back and watched them work their magic. My 2 week old surprisingly slept through out the whole photo session, even during diaper changes. I loved how gentle they were with my baby. I'm sooo glad I found Kristi!!! She did my son's newborn photos at 2 months. I wasn't sure if he would still look newborn-ish but she worked her magic! They turn out absolutely adorable!!! Kristi and her husband were so gentle with my baby so that they wouldn't wake him up during the session. They have a heater going on the entire time to keep him warm and asleep longer. She's willing to work with you on what you want for your photos and not pushy at all and trying to sell you more pictures. It was such a wonderful experience! Do not look any further, if you have come across Studio by Kristi for your newborn photography, do yourself a favor and just stop here. I, like many, look at reviews to get a gist of what people think about a company, but when I saw Studio by Kristi's page and reviews, I knew she was the one. From the moment I sent her an email, she was professional, responsive, and extremely organized. I had to reschedule my photoshoot because my baby girl came 1 week and 5 days late, but when I brought this to Kristi's attention, she easily moved my photoshoot to the following week. There was never a hassle with anything. The day before your shoot, Kristi will send you a text with all pertinent information you need to know before arriving. She'll ask you if you want specific colors, props, etc. that way, the morning of the shoot, she is prepared for literally everything. The moment we walked up to the house, which is in a very nice quiet neighborhood, we saw a sign welcoming our daughter (see pics below). Upon entry, we were greeted by her and her husband, and my family felt super comfortable and at ease. It was like walking into a family members house. They both wore masks and used hand sanitizer the entire shoot. The studio was in pristine condition and smelled amazing! They both took my daughter right away since she had already been asleep and started working on her outfits for the shoot. I had my husband, 2 year old boy and 8 year old boy with me and they were excited that there were an assortment of snacks that were provided on the table for them. There was also a very comfortable love seat and couch to hang out on. (See pics below) They were extremely good with my 2 boys and very patient when things weren't going the way they planned. After my family pictures were finished, my family left and I just sat back and watched the magic happen. Literally magic! I don't know how they do it, but they have everything down to a T when it comes to outfit changes without waking baby up! The wife would wrap and when the wife had to hold my daughter's head in place, the husband would take over the wrapping. I mean, it was so amazing to watch. They have the most patience of anyone I've ever met in my entire life. When they were finished with the shoot, Kristi immediately downloaded the pictures to her computer and right then and there goes over them with you. You make a payment and you are off! This was by far the easiest photoshoot I've ever done, they took care of everything! So much work and effort goes into a single click of a camera! P.S: if you choose studio by Kristi, make sure you feed baby right before you leave the house, leave baby sleeping in the car seat and bring the car seat in. They will take her/him out of the car seat and undress her/him for you. This will make everything seamless. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I would. Kristi and John took our newborn's photos and did a great job! I highly recommend them. First, they have great communication. I reached out via Yelp asking for pricing and they responded right away through email and text to ensure I got their info. They communicated before the shoot too to ensure they knew what we wanted and were hoping to get. During the shoot, they were so patient as we tried to get our toddler on board with the photos (poses, smiling, eye contact, etc.). Once the family photos were taken, they handled everything with our newborn while we sat nearby and relaxed. They even brought out some toys to help keep our toddler entertained. Once all photos were done being taken, we got to see them all and flag the ones we liked. There was never any pressure to select a minimum number. Such a special experience during our newborn shoot for my son! I was a little hesitant at first when it came to scheduling because I had COVID concerns, not sure if my son would be fussy, would we get good images. Everything was perfect! I don't even know where to begin to share the wonderful experience we had getting our daughter's Newborn Photos done by Kristi and John. My husband and I had not planned on doing newborn photos for our new baby girl, but we were gifted a GROUPON for a session so we thought we'd give it a go. Man am I so thankful we did! Kristi and John make the whole experience seamless and stress free. They have what seems like infinite amounts of adorable quality props (backdrops, linen, blankets, swaddles, headbands, toys, etc) for both baby boys and girls. All you need to bring is your baby ;) They are both so experienced with little ones! They have heaters and white noise going for the comfort of your baby. They handled our little one with love and ease. Our baby girl only woke up one time during the shoot and that was to eat. As soon as I burped her, Kristi (a true baby whisperer ), took her back to the set area and put her right back to sleep. These two are clearly baby handling veterans, baby slept through multiple wardrobe, set and prop changes. I was so impressed with their baby handling techniques and abilities. You can tell they both genuinely love kids. I felt our baby was in loving and safe hands. Now for the photos. Kristi takes care of everything. She is the visionary and she is AMAZING. She is definitely open to input or ideas and will ask you if you like what she's thinking/doing. However, there wasn't a thing she did that I didn't absolutely love. Her ideas far exceeded any expectations I had. I literally burst into tears after she took the first photo and it popped up on the screen (you get to watch the photos being taken live time from your comfy seat) because it was so beautiful. All of the photos were so perfect and precious. Also I am a very indecisive person, however Kristi makes the photo selection process so quick and easy. This review has been a long time coming; I wanted to first write immediately about my experience but I hadn't gotten my photos back yet and felt a comprehensive review would be best for the interested patrons out there. Kristie communication was stellar; she responded to my many emails promptly and explained her set up well. Her pre-photoshoot email was invaluable with tips on how to best prepare for the photoshoot which was quite helpful as I realized reading it, there were many factors I'd had never considered. The moment I pulled in, my excitement level spiked; Kristi had created a personalized parking spot for me and I already felt myself relaxing. Small details like this score huge points for me. She's customizing an experience that not only is meant to create something amazing but to make sure you feel amazing while doing it! The photoshoot was fun and challenging! I have a new appreciation for models as some of these poses made for some sore muscles the next day! (Which, she did warn me about in that aforementioned email) Both Kristi and her husband were professional yet personal. I felt very comfortable during the entire shoot. She helped select my outfits and clearly has an artistic eye. I loved and really appreciated that she'd show me each pose prior to placing me in them because the visuals really helped when trying to mimic them--and as I indicated prior, some were more difficult than others, lol. But the results were well worth any soreness the next day! I mean, WOW. I couldn't stop looking at them. I just absolutely and completely loved them. Many of my friends I've shown have expressed a desire to try it now after seeing the magic Kristi can do. She's THAT good. Aside from the sultry vibes, (which were epic) she captured smiles and laughs that really portrayed MY personality. Her art goes deeper than the skin, lace and curls...she captures you! My husband's reaction was priceless! He loved it! I love it! I am so happy I finally just did it and allowed myself to try a completely new experience.
