Tina did an amazing job on my shellac manicure and regular pedicure. I have a hard time finding the time to get in regularly sometimes it's once a month and it has lasted well past the growth and I even had to file my nails and no chipping. She did such a good job following specific direction on how I wanted my nails cut and filed and I was very happy. Prices are comparable to other salons in the area and very large color selection too. The guy there did my daughter's nails and one had something on them and the others were like everyone else's pictures with spill over on the skin. The other tech's say this and told him and he had an attitude; left and went for a smoke. Luckily another lady came and fixed and edged up spillage. She did help and I tipped her only. However, she was sitting in one of the pedicure chairs, dug up her nose and wiped it in the chair. We asked him to fix it and he got an attitude and said something in his language and everyone laughed and commented. They all did this several times you asked them to fix anything. I've been going here for years and have brought others as well. There are two concrete reasons I won't be coming here again. They recently changed management. The mani pedi quality is still good but the prices doubled. The Monday-Wednesday mani-pedi used to be $35. They are now $70! I brought someone in with me promising this and she had major sticker shock (I paid for her as it was my mistake, but at what point does one keep calling a repeat business to check prices? No change was mentioned. My mani-pedi took 2 hours. That's right - 2 hours. During it my nail tech stepped away frequently to do bills, take calls, fill a ledger, multitask several other customers. One tech started the water and went away and the customer yelled that the water was at the top about to overflow. Everyone was distracted. Finding a go-to for nail salons takes time and I've lost this one. Bummer. read more

I live a quick walk from this nail studio but haven't given it a try. I can't believe I waited this long! Sam did such a great job with my nails. I'm really happy with how they turned out. They have a huge color selection of matching shellac and regular polish. Their COVID-19 policies were spot on-I felt very safe. There is a temperature check upon arrival for customers and was asked to use hand sanitizer right away as well. All of the stations had glass partitions at all the mani and pedi stations. Came here for my first time and asked for black holo ombre (I know not all salons can do it so I called prior to ask and they assured me they could). I don't think it's harsh of me to expect quality work when I specifically called to ask if they could do it. I posted a picture If you want to see it, my nail we're not even uniform in shape of length, and the "ombre" was absolutely horrible. They cut me when filling my nails (I know it happens sometimes but it still hurt). I almost wanted to cry it was so bad, I paid $60 for the worst nails I've ever gotten in my life. I didn't even bother asking them to fix it because they litterally messed everything up. The acrylic was too thick at the tips. The glue got all over my skin (and it hurts). I had to update the review since this time around, I got my acrylics removed! I'm very serious about nailcare and all about the CORRECT way of safely removing fake nails -- they did it perfectly. They soaked off as much as they could and used the nail drill to drill it off, then continued soaking. (The INCORRECT way to do it would be to use an unused acrylic nail to take off your fake one). They really took their time and had enough patience to work with me. They were even able to apply clear nail polish for more of a finished look. They're close to my house and have great service. Living in downtown Detroit theres very few good nail salon options.. so I usually pop in for a manicure whilst in the suburbs doing other errands, etc. I've given this place a couple tries to prove me wrong but it's totally hit or miss depending on who you get! This nail salon has hidden charges and does a terrible job. I got my dip nail polish taken off and then a dip manicure which is $45. I got sparkles on top and assumed it would be a maximum $5 charge. When we were done I was charged $75. I was taken aback and extremely confused. I called back up and they said that my removal (which is always free with a service) and the extra sparkles was $30. It was chaos! The person that started my pedicure kept getting up to answer the door and phone. While he was doing my toes another person was quickly doing my manicure. She cut my nails too short, the old polish is still in the corners. Eventually the first person doing my pedicure got up and another person finished it. My toe nails have sharp edges, the is no polish on the edges of my big toe nails. No one else around me was receiving such crazy service. This place was my go-to. No more. The last 3 times I've been have been a complete disappointment. Once while I was pregnant, I came in for a mani no polish. When the lady asked me what color and I replied no polish she gave me a real nasty look and then cut my nails COMPLETELY OFF. No white at all. When I said something she just said oops and then asked if I wanted to keep the rest long. Uh, no. I want my nails to be the same length. She of course still charged me full price. This last time I went the lady talked me into a deluxe pedicure. Fine. Then when it was manicure time she tried to get me to get shellac. No thanks, I'm not into the same color for a month straight. That must've insulted her because here it is, less than 2 days later and my nails are so bad I just had to take the polish off and redo them myself. At least the cuticles were done properly. Entered the premises and everything looked very clean and well-kept there was a decent amount of people in there and their sign in sheet definitely was well used today. Was greeted promptly upon my entrance and asked what services I wanted and was asked several follow-up questions to ensure that what I wanted was correct. Signed in and I only waited for about 3 minutes before a pedicure chair was ready and waiting for me. Water temperature was absolutely amazing and it smelled great! The man who was doing my pedicure (Kevin) was very skilled with what he does (5 + years experience) and asked several questions about my feet prior to touching them in case I had any conditions or worries that he needed to know about. He even brought me bottled water The man doing my pedicure was extremely thorough and went back several times to make sure that he had everything right before he even started painting. During this he asked several times to make sure that I wasn't in any pain and that things were to my liking. the sugar scrub was and white tea moisture mask In Addition to this there was even a hot towel massage portion which felt amazing. Before he ended up putting any paint on my toes he made sure to ask twice to confirm that He had the right color. Even though the base coat for the color I wanted was a little light, he made sure it was the right color when he finished. He even made sure to change the towel that I had my feet on because it was a little wet from getting my feet rinsed off and he literally held my feet up and I didn't have to lift them myself. That is well above and beyond many other nail salons I have been to and I highly commend Studio nails on this. He was very timely in how be did my nails yet still managed to make sure that he had every portion of my nail covered and that there were no spots without color and that it didn't run off onto my skin. After i got the gel on my toes he made sure to put everything under the UV lamp for the full amount of time and didn't skip seconds to make sure that everything did cure properly. After all of the polish was on he even went back over and removed any excess nail polish that was around my toes that he didn't get the first time and filed any rough edges which I have never had done at any nail salon and I was quite surprised and impressed that it happened. After that he used Citrus oil to massage my feet and my legs one last time before I was out the door. Even stopped to trim extra skin one last time as well. Showing off his extreme attention to detail. Afterwards there was a hot stone massage and another hot towel to finish off this experience I would highly recommend Studio nails to anyone who is looking for quality service in a very timely manner they go above and beyond other nail salons and I was highly impressed and will probably never go to another nail salon unless Studio nails is closed read more

So far so good. I've visited Studio Nails maybe four times so far in the past year and I'm yet to be disappointed. My friend introduced me awhile back. For me, if you've been to one nail salon, you've been to them all. I do look for subtle differences when I get my nails done. What I like about Studio Nails is the fact that every manicurist I've had knew what they were doing. I didn't have an "intern" practicing on my nails messing my cuticles up. I didn't have messy nails after getting a polish change either. For pedicures they use new utensils out of a sealed package. I love that, especially when you can get a staphylococcus infection when nail salons don't properly sanitize their utensils. I'm Everyone seemed to be on the same level of experience. Also, today when I went the young lady was extra particular in making sure she manicured my cuticles perfectly. I appreciate the extra time and detail to make sure my nails are perfect. My daughter went with me today (7) for a pedicure. She got her toes filed and polished. That's it and it still cost $20. Pretty expensive for a child. Nonetheless, they did a great job. The woman who did my pedicure was rubbing so hard with the thing that removes calluses that she broke open my skin in two spots. She asked me how those cuts happened after I told her to stop because she was hurting me. I told her that SHE did it. It was oozing yellow stuff which tells me it was infected. I've been here multiple times but this was by far the worst experience. I went with a friend and her nail tech put on the wrong polish and she had to ask her 5 times to stop. Tonight, I handed over my torn up feet and hands to the ladies at Studio Nail for their $35 manicure and pedicure special offered Monday through Wednesday. My technician was not daunted by my callouses and hangnails and tucked in for an over hour long session, not rushing in the least after the 8:00pm closing time. In full disclosure, I haven't had very many pedicures in my life (hence my terrible feral feet), and was delighted by the beautiful burgundy chairs with intense tenderize-your-muscles style massagers built in. The basic pedicure still comes with some of the upper crust salon treatments--hot stone massage, sugar scrub, and wonderful hot towels. My technician rolled down my pant legs and gave me some flip flops to wear and I felt her protective eye on me as she prepared to close up shop--did she peg me for the kind of girl that ruins perfectly Cha-Ching Cherry nails? I appreciated the loving care of her handiwork (though I dinged up a nail in the parking lot about 6 minutes later). A perfect stop for a great relaxing pedicure without the hype of a spa. The woman doing my nails did not rush because of this either. She did a great job and really took her time to make sure I was happy. The salon was very clean and modern. The staff are all very nice, and it didn't take long at all to be seen on a Saturday afternoon. I got the "basic" pedicure (28$ you can get a deluxe for a few more dollars) & received a scrub, wrap & hot stone treatment on top of the usual trim, buff & polish. The paint job also lasted FOREVER. It "grew out" before it ever chipped. The girl that did my pedi was a little too chatty for my liking, but very nice and obviously knows her stuff. The manicure (14$) I got was done by a quieter, although still nice lady.
