My sister suggested the soufflé class and I thought it would be more exciting to do another class but we did it...she was right, it was a great move to make. We ended up attending the first soufflé course they offered as it was a new amazing. Since it was the first time they offered the course, it ended up being a private baking course for my sister and I, led by Guillaume. First, the location was by Notre Dame (3 total locations), and so you really feel immersed in the city. Concurrently, there were 2 other courses in the building for eclairs and croissants. The facility is super clean and beautiful. Now as for the course, 10/10, highly recommend. Guillaume was very kind and gave us tips on what to look for when baking as well as recommendations in the city - which, by the way very impressive list. We were able to cooking without washing the dishes (THANK YOU GUILLAUME). Guillaume was very lively and honestly, I would love to take another course with him or any instructor. The course was so good that my sister and I are still considering on taking a course today before we leave. I cannot wait to try the recipe back home.

The class was held in French and i was the only student who did not speak it so they gave me an interpreter who professionally translated everything our teacher was saying. Speaking of the teacher, he was very friendly, engaging and skilled . Their kitchen is huge and really well equipped. Our class i think lasted about three hours and it was pure joy. We made two kinds of very tasty ice-cream. The process was rather complicated but it was very well explained, not rushed and it was just fun. We also made meringue, sauce and some edible decor to go with the ice-cream. Of course at the end of the class we ate our creations. It tasted really good. They gave us the recipe and step-by-step instructions to take home. I would give this place ten stars. I will definitely attend more classes at the Ritz when i visit Paris next time.

Never are you in such a position to cook this way yet I was able to bring lessons home to our own kitchen. The day started with meeting the concierge who guided us 'behind closed doors' and into the depths of the Ritz. Surprisingly, the back of house is quite nice and took me by surprise. We met our two chefs in a good size room adjacent to the main kitchen. The lesson room included a full kitchen, a large prep table, selves full of dry goods and china, and a large dinning table. From the first moment we started preparing courses and learning about every step. Wine and small dishes (we prepared) were served throughout the day. Finally, my group and our two chefs sat down for a lovely meal and interesting conversation (in English). A great experience.

Luc was our guide and chef, and did a really great job. We enjoyed shopping for ingredients at the market just a few blocks away from the Le Foodist kitchen. Once back to the kitchen, Luc gave us the run down of what we would be making. Instructions were clear, and we all worked together to put a 3 course lunch together. I even learned a few cool new techniques such as a simple "sous vide" by tightly wrapping chicken in plastic wrap and cooking in hot water. Fun, educational and delicious. They offer a variety of different classes and I would highly recommend when visiting Paris.

They have some lockers up front for your belongings and a coat rack. Our guests were late. The ladies let us in to a waiting area where they had snacks and coffee/tea. We hung out on the couches. The chef was so kind as to wait to start the class for us and she even stayed late so we had our full class time. Wow. We made croissants and other pastries. The recipes were given to us via QR code at the end of the class. We were able to ask questions throughout. Chef was making jokes and making sure everyone was pulling their weight. In the end, she created a gorgeous table scape of our items and even organized them as to who made what. We worked in teams and I think the lady team items looked better than the guy team items. Haha. Everything tasted good though! Chef opened a bottle of champagne for us at the end and we drank and ate. We took everything home in large paper bags to savor again. The class was so fun and very safe. It was worth every penny. In fact just being on their email list is worth it. They have wonderful emails with recipes!
