Worst ever. Instead of a few highlights I left the place with bright orange hair. Stay away

First of all disclaimer: my opinion is biased about this place…read more It's run by a woman, her husband and their partner: Franca, Harry and Michel. Franca was my babysitter back when i was like 8-9-10 years old and has always been a close family friend. My niece calls her "Auntie Freaka" (too kyoot right??). So obviously what you take from this review is your choice. Franca and Harry's 2 daughters also work here and there are other staff too that are just as friendly and just as fantastic. Tara and Louise (hair colorists) most notably because they're often here when I come and are also fabulous!! They do hair styles of absolutely anything you have in mind. They do make up and nails too. They offer a variety of high end products for your hair and cosmetics. The place is chic and makes u feel like ur really taking care of urself (like u should!!). They used to offer massages but the dude got hired at a bigger opportunity for him so he's gone now and they haven't replaced him yet. I have been getting my hair done here regularly for almost 2 years now. Despite being a family friend i do pay for all my appointments and it's always worth it. My younger sister got her hair done by Franca for her wedding and gets her hair done anytime she's in Chateauguay (lives in Ottawa). Franca will come in exceptionally on a Saturday for her preferred customers special events (family or otherwise). My youngest sister and wedding party will all be having our hair done here too in September 2017 for her wedding. She used to be a regular of Franca too before she moved to Edmonton and now says "I'm not getting my hair done in Edmonton anymore they don't do it as good as Franca, I'll just do it when i come back to visit." My mother, aunt and cousin all get their hair done here too. I don't think I have to say it: but i will obviously get my hair done by Franca for my wedding eventually as well. Despite being a family friend: Franca simply does an amazing job. She is always awesome with all the clients, not just the ones that are like family. In fact once you've been here twice you become part of the family de facto! I have been getting nothing but compliments on the colour of my blond and the hair cuts I get since I made the decision to just keep coming here despite living in Lasalle. The best part about this place in my opinion, besides Franca, lol is their fabulous coffee they offer you while ur gettin ur hair done....I sooooo look forward to it every 5 weeks (as per my standing appointment with Franca). It's the best coffee ever. Price wise it's definitely not the cheapest place: but their service makes it worth it hands down. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone...men women children... I would never get my hair done this regularly or by a hairdresser for that matter at all if i didn't have this place!!!

Everyone loves a good spa day.. but how about a spa day on a boat? Yep.. head to Bota Bota! They…read moreare known for their water circuit and spa treatments, and the location and views are beautiful. The water circuit consists of a three step process that will promote relaxation and wellness. First, begin with either a hot sauna or steam bath, this helps improve circulation and promote detoxification. Next you transition to a cold plunge, to help boost some of those good endorphins and reduce inflammation. Next you want to relax. They have a bunch of areas to chill out and lounge around. The resting is important as it helps your body stabilize. Once you've rested, repeat! Or if you're like us.. go back to your favorite spots. After a couple cycles, we had appointments for some spa treatments. I got lymphatic drainage, which was SO relaxing, and Caleb got a deep tissue massage. This was the perfect add on! The one recommendation I do have, is before having a spa treatment, go change out of your wet bathing suit and into something dry. Putting on a wet cold bathing suit after a relaxing massage was... unpleasant. My own fault! Bring a book and sit on the decks to soak up the sun and enjoy your relaxation steps. The facility is well maintained and clean, and the changing rooms are great. We truly enjoyed this experience and it was such a unique thing to do in Montreal. They also have a selection of bathing suits in case you decide last minute to add this on to your itinerary. Highly recommend! Lentz_explore

I've never actually been to a real spa before (I've had facials and massages but never a full…read morelike... spa experience) and so I figured while on my very snowy December trip to Montreal now was the time. The fact that this spa is on a boat and half of it was outdoors was the appeal! So we booked just the water circuit (no extras, just saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs) to see if this was even something we'd like. Turns out the December visit was the way to go! It wasn't packed at all, and turns out that sitting in a hot tub while the snow falls on your face is actually a top ten life experience. It was cold as heck out, mind you, but somehow you never feel chilly when you're going in and out of saunas and hot tubs. I did wish some of the relaxation rooms were a bit warmer, or there was an ability to swap out a soaking towel at some point, but I was never uncomfortable. Everything was clean and people around us were respectful. I loved the no phone policy and definitely chilled out to staring into this strangely brutalist bay. David Lynch relaxation vibes. The best was the floor where you could sit in a porthole window -- only wish we had discovered it earlier! I would totally come back here and check out some of their other offerings. Dunno, might even aim for a winter trip again because it was just that nice!

Think the gent who assisted was Antoine (shorter, chestnut hair, and great skin, of course). Very warm and extremely knowledgeable. I regularly shop their stores in Century City, Culver, and Larchmont, yet he taught me things I never knew about their products. Thought I was just popping in for a serum, but he took the time to show me several options, and I bought more than expected :-) Knowing that I was visiting, he even offered me an Aesop guide to local restaurants. So helpful, so thoughtful, such a wonderful employee and experience. Thank you!!!

The clerk offered me tea as well as a pricing sheet before leading me to the sink in the middle of store to wash my hands and try the products. They even offer you a small hand towel to dry your hands afterwards! Everything has top notch packaging, it's super impressive. On one side of the room they have gift packages and each comes with a sleeve that has unique artwork and a poem. Sadly, everything is very expensive and I can't justify paying for any of it. I let my sales associate know this and she said it wasn't a problem. She gave me a catalog and some samples before I left just in case I ever wanted to treat myself. Excellent customer service! I was so pleased after my visit.

Nice showers with I want to say mahogany floorboard. Bring a swimsuit and waterproof sandals. Towels are nice and fluffy, as well as the bathrobe. My massage therapist was excellent, I was a content , relaxed rubber noodle by the end of my session. For my "hot" I enjoyed the eucalyptus steam sauna (taking deep relaxing inhales), and the hot tub waterfall (spent several minutes with the water falling in my head which was very vigorous, then just tilt you head forward for a wonderful shoulder therapy). For my "cold", the cold plunge shower was amazing only needed the 20sec blasts, and the cold plunge tub just pinch your nose and fully submerge for 15-20 seconds. After all of that I grabbed a sofa in the resting area and just decompressed to process the entire morning. I hope to come back here every time I visit Montreal in the future

SCAM. UNSANITARY. OVERCROWDED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED…read more This is NOT a luxury spa experience. There is 1 hot pool, 1 tiny cold plunge, 1 tiny steam room, 1 dry sauna. They allow way too many people in the thermal journey which ruins the spa experience. They do not provide spa slippers and allow customers to bring their own slippers, which could be dirty to walk around the inside of the spa. They charge you $40/slippers which is robbery. We got the duo massage which, for $500+ you'd expect a premium massage, but they hire inexperienced people who do not know how to do deep tissue massages. They increased the prices for special dates but also allow more people in, which defeats the purpose of increasing the price. MONEY HUNGRY scam artists. The bathrooms are consistently dirty, locker rooms crowded and only 3 showers and 3 toilets. This place is a JOKE. To top it off, I asked for some sort of compensation for the experience and the manager said they couldn't do anything about it. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN.
