Very welcoming studio. I'm in Yuma for travel and was looking for a place to work on my hot yoga practice. Little worried with the 114 degree weather heat outside, but the heat was just perfect. I don't think they have a heating system, and the building stays pretty naturally cool. They open the back door and put in a couple space heaters. I built up some sweat but wasn't drenched like I normally am. I took two classes with Maddy, one hot and one simply called Yoga. She was great, challenging at times but also a nice smooth flow. They have extra towels and mats for use, no charge!!! I'd be a regular customer if I lived in the area. read more

This spot is definitely one to try out! My first class here was so extremely welcoming and every class since is something new to explore within myself and within the world around me. Being new to Yuma friendship is something I was missing out on, but every class I'm meeting someone new. The teachers are so helpful and loving, I never feel judged or forgotten. In the short time I've been going I have already seen so much progress with my practice of yoga, it's mind blowing. I am newer to Yuma and really love this studio. Very welcoming studio, the people are great. There are some instructors that are a little rough when it comes to cueing and fluidity in class but I also do not know their tenure as an instructor. If you're new, try the new student pass which allows you to try a bunch of classes and instructors for an extremely reasonable price. (It's currently $30 for 30 days) I appreciate how the schedule adjusts a little each month...shakes things up a little. They also have "special events" each month which is fun too. My only minor complaint is that the class names don't always reflect the class itself. For example, if a class name has "flow" in the title, I would expect us to be flowing for a good portion of class which is not always the case. read more

I've been visiting my inlaws in Yuma since 2001 and recently discovered Studio Y. It is by far the best discovery I've ever made here. The studio is very beautiful and has this uniqueness to it that I really love. It's the perfect escape for some "me" time. I can't wait for my next visit to Studio Y. read more

I love this studio, and am so lucky to have a place to come to my mat to like this one in the Yuma community. The rotating teachers use a smart and athletic approach, and though they each have their own style, I leave every Studio Y yoga class feeling renewed, with a brighter and more relaxed perspective. The teachers use good music, provide hands-on assists at time (with your approval), incorporate meditative techniques, have a general light-hearted approach to yoga, and often even give a philosophical word or two for yoga students to chew on as you get into your practice. Excellent studio clean relaxed atmosphere. Instructors were professional and courteous. I was visiting for 2 months and the staff and cliental were very accepting. When I first walked in to Studio Y the instructor asked me if it was my first time. When I told her yes she responded "WELCOME!" and gave me a big hug. The friendliness and support only increased from there. Studio Y is a great place to practice yoga, forget about the world, refocus yourself, and workout your body. I was visiting family in Yuma and needed my yoga fix while in town. Upon recommendation from local friends, I decided on this space. The yoga space is absolutely gorgeous. I fell in love with it immediately. My only contention was that I was receiving adjustments from the instructor without having been asked whether I was OK with being touched. Apart from that the space was beautiful, the practice was good, I just wish I had they had asked permission before touching me to provide adjustments/assists. read more

So thankful to have found Studio Y. There is a vast selection of classes and the instructors all have a great individual style. You can find their daily schedule via instagram or facebook. My favorite are the hot yoga classes at 5:30pm during the week. Its always nice to get there early because it gets pretty tight. It's awesome to see so many people coming to their mat together.
