He cleanly removed some of the baseboard so the shelves would be flush with the walls, added quarter round to the base, and caulked the edges for a seamless, built-in look that completely elevated the space. He also relocated our Nest thermostat to the opposite side of the wall. Benjamin has done a variety of other projects, too, including installing a storm door in our sunroom, repairing and replacing rotted wood, and replacing the interior door trim. There was great up front communication in reviewing what I wanted to do, and we came up with a plan for purchasing materials and having him do the project. Note this was more of a custom job with pre-determined kits from a retailer, so not a typical project he's worked on, but he assured me multiple times that he could do the project with no issues. Unfortunately, once he started things took a turn. The instructions weren't followed, measurements were off, permit wasn't pulled, and there were multiple other issues that came up that resulted in me having to fire him and hire someone else. We did come up with an exit agreement in terms of fixing repairs and covering damages which was much appreciated. If you're looking for general fence repair, and/or a standard fence install, I would recommend. Just make sure you do you homework, sign a contract, and ensure permit is pulled.

To be fair: the construction on our deck is now complete and it looks great and I think it was…read morewell built. The issue with Mark is his lack of communication. The job, which was supposed to take a day and a half ran to almost two weeks due to one delay after another (including multiple instances of not having the right materials delivered at the right time). At no point during this process did Mark communicate with us. We were always calling and texting; most of the time getting no response. The lack of customer service and communication was extreme and I would never use him again nor would I recommend him to anyone.

The new drilled pier post foundations are fantastic and they make my old footers look like childs play. Several times we had to make adjustments on the fly and they were always very accommodating and responsive, which is very important to me. They really did an awesome job all around and have even been responsive and helpful POST job finish, which is also refreshing to see, as some folks forget about you once the work is done.
