Spoke to Sarah twice on the phone to confirm a truck was non-smoking before driving 2.5 hours. She confirmed and after making the drive, the truck was loaded with air freshener's, windows down, and it still stunk like smoke. Even had a cigarette burn hole in arm rest. I wish I could give them negative stars. I bought a van on Friday and the engine light comes on Saturday. Took it to O'Reillys to get it checked, got that done and they tell me its illegal for them to erase the code, so a dealership shouldn't be doing it either (RIGHT!!!) Said problem is not something that happens over night....called them they we'll get back to you, they didnt.. I called them Monday and they said sorry you didn't purchase a warranty we don't have to do anything... Took the van to a trusted mechanic and its going to be around 5g to fix said problems. Called the dealership back and asked if they could help even a little bit, good will gesture or like a moral code of conduct but nope nothing.. I wish I had read the reviews, Be careful have a trusted mechanic or any mechanic look at whatever you are looking to buy, or take it to an auto store and have them use the code reader on it.. read more

I find a truck they have and decide to buy it. I`m buying the car remotely for my wife and get in touch with Jess the salesperson. She sends me pics and then requests a credit app to get the process going. We fill out the credit app and speak with Jess shortly after. She requests a $500 deposit to hold the car. I tell her I`m buying it and would prefer to just get the numbers and move forward. I get a text that they sold the car the next morning. This place is a complete waste of time. I have to give $500 just to go through their buying process? They only care about how many cars they can sell in how little time. They don`t care about their customers or their time. read more

Of the three different dealerships I have bought cars from in Ohio, this one is by far the worst. Once they get your money, they do not care to help you. They won't resolve issues that they caused. Because of their inability to listen, they override my request as to what address to use on my title and now I am stuck making payments on a car I cannot drive, as they can't extend the date on the paper tag and I cannot get a plate, even though I 'm required to go from one state to another to figure out this titling issue. Also, I am going to have to come out of pocket for more fees. I was told their hands are tied and have been given no other assistance. Additionally, I had made numerous calls and left messages only for them not to be returned, so I had to go in person just to get information. They gave me inaccurate information since the inception of the sale and I have been dealing with the consequences ever since. I am not supposed to be making 11 hour trips while 8 months pregnant, nor do I have the funds to pay for a car I can't use while spending money on travel and to include unforeseeable yet avoidable fees. Do not give them your business. Christy's is a much better option and they actually care about you even after they already received their money. read more

Stykemain Buick GMC website states all used vehicles are inspected by a technician. I recently bought a used truck from here. The spare was in the truck bed. I asked several times to have the spare placed in the proper place. Under the truck bed. They never did it and then charged me $18 to put it back. Also the left wheel had a knocking sound. She told me the tire was loose (as she chuckled) and they tightened the lug nuts. That was $48. Also it had a small transmission coolant line leak. I payed $600 to have that fixed, and it still leaks. I asked how does an inspected vehicles have these problems. I was told " you said the leak was small". Never got an answer on loose wheel. Very bad service! Cost $248 for a $55 part...but that's not the worst part. They do "courtesy service" like other dealerships offer. But Tues they picked up vehicle from work. When I got off at 6 it wasn't there! Called me at 2 for payment, finished,was taking back. I tried getting ahold of SOMEBODY, nope. Terrible Terrible Business. This company isn't for the customer. All politics and how much money they can profit. After over 9 hours of sitting around, we decided on a vehicle. We were asked to put a deposit of a $100 cash down to hold for 2 days. We ended up deciding not to get this vehicle less than 24 hrs later, and now they will not refund us our money. Saying it's non-refundable. This is not stated on the receipt nor was verbalized to us. Too bad a company like this is so hard up to screw people over that they have to scam a $100 bill from potential customers. Ethan Stykemain is a horrible business man. Tried to rip my elderly father off for $2000 worth of repairs. Took vehicle to another dealership and was told that no repair was actually necessary but if he wanted to have it done it would be a $580 fix. I would give them negative stars if I was able to!!! We researched the internet for a used pick up truck. We had several on a list and visited Stykemain's to look at a 2007 Ford F150. We test drove it and liked it but had one more on the list to look at. We made a deal with Parker, a sales person that was helping us. The agreement was for a certain price with a few conditions. One of the repairs that was promised was made but it was also promised that a rear quarter panel have some body work performed. We made arrangements to come pay for the vehicle and received word just an hour before coming that the body work was not done. My husband paid for the truck with the intention that the body work be finished. After numerous calls finally got a hold of Parker and he did not know where our truck was. He thought we had picked it. He promised the body work would be done by the next Thursday. He called Tuesday and left a message that truck was done. We drove to Defiance only to see that NONE of the body work was complete!! They are crooks! We would have went and seen the last truck and probably not have done business with them if they had told the truth about not doing all the promised work. Long story short, I drove 185 miles one way to purchase a vehicle that showed no accidents. Pic looked great and I wanted the truck. Reality- Rust over the doors and wheel well you couldn't see in the pics Electronic problems they knew about but didn't say anything until I found it. Truck was in an accident because the bumper was pushed into the truck about 2". You notice that stuff right away and you should definitely tell someone who puts a down payment on it without even looking at the vehicle and drives 185 miles to pick it up. Wasted a day and didn't even get an apology for the lies told about the vehicle and wasting my time. They tried talking me into vehicles to purchase that were way out of my price, and when I said I don't like the color, the response was color doesn't matter for a vehicle. Glad I pissed away $100 in gas that day just to turn around and go back home. NEVER go there! Dealership staff is friendly at first but completely ignore you after you purchase the vehicle. Less then a month of ownership, the car we purchased was making an odd noise from the engine bay and was told to bring it in for a diagnosis. Apparently, the diagnosis was ok and no faults appeared on the vehicle. 2 months later, the check engine light turns on so I take it to another local dealership in my area and they deem the car unsafe to operate and quote me a bill of almost $2500. I call Stykemain back and talk to Mike, the service manager. He seemed rather uninterested in my concern and would not even offer a free diagnosis, especially since they had already misdiagnosed the car. We have owned the car less then 3 months and put just 2000 miles on it and to have this many problematic faults is ludicrous. It's funny how one of the reviews states a Mustang failing their rigorous inspection criteria and was not put up for sale but the car we purchased (deemed unsafe to operate) was. I am very disappointed with the experience I've had here. I understand purchasing a used vehicle is always somewhat of a risk but I was fairly confident in making the purchase especially after seeing the so called inspection report that was performed and the impressive state of the dealership, but where do morals and ethics come in?
