The young male nail tech cut both of my thumbs when filing them. They are super sore and in just over 24 hours my left great toe is red and throbbing. There is a small cut in the skin just adjacent to the nail, it is draining pus, and the skin is red and puffy = cellulitis a bacterial infection. I will not return. It probably depends on who your nail tech is, but mine was very aggressive with his filing.

I immediately asked him to put on gloves, not once, not twice, but three separate times. Despite this, he brushed off my concern and insisted he was fine. It wasn't until I firmly explained that my concern wasn't just for his safety but for mine--as I can become very ill from exposure--that he reluctantly put on a bandage. This would have solved my concern, however when he went to do my nail design he ripped it off and said he couldn't work with it on. He left it on the table next to me even after we were finished. My boyfriend had to ask him for the final time to put on a glove and he did, again, reluctantly. This was not just unprofessional; it was completely unacceptable from a hygiene and safety standpoint. Salons are supposed to follow strict sanitary protocols, and this experience showed a complete disregard for basic health precautions. I left feeling anxious and unsafe, and I will not be returning. They did not even give me a discount for the unprofessionalism. $110 for my nails. I hope the salon takes this seriously and ensures all staff follow proper health and safety practices to protect their clients. I will be following up with this concern with a health inspector.

About 2 years…read moreago my friend recommended Jeannie's shop and I haven't been more pleased with anyone else since then. They don't use acrylic (which is awful for your nails), they only use gel/hard gel/gel putty. I went from getting acrylic for 7 years to hard gel and now just gel nail polish and my nails are stronger than ever. All of the employees are knowledgeable and sweet. Crystal is who does my nails and it never fails, she's always in a good mood, upbeat and is willing to tackle any crazy idea I have for a nail design. Even though half the time I never know what I want to do she always helps me figure it out. And don't let them stop you from thinking they only service your nails! They also offer massages, hair services and waxing! While I've only ever gotten my nails and waxing done here I've always seen the amazing hair services that leave the shop. For anyone considering making the switch to this shop, I could not give it a higher recommendation or speak more highly of this place!
