The shave was awful, and this place has no business doing face shaves for men. I had rough stubble coming in (no beard), and I was super surprised it started with an electric shaver all over my face (I dont use those as it burns and leaves razor burn). Then there was a straight razor. And then they finished it off again with an electric shaver all over my face. My face was burning at the end, and the experience was terrible. Thankfully they used enough ointments at the end that prevented any serious lasting razor burn from the electric shaver. If I wanted to use an electric shaver on my face I would have taken the 50 bucks I paid for the shave and bought an electric shaver at the store. The end result wasn't even a close shave, and I could still feel stubble on my face walking out. I do a closer shave on my own with my gillette razor.

It is in a building on Music Row, located in the center of everything. Just around the corner from great restaurants in Edge Hill. Do like me, grab lunch and get a great haircut. They seem to be quite good at scheduling. I scheduled an appointment, you can do it online or by phone and was in the next day, which is when I requested. They utilize all the safety precautions required in this day and age, masks, social distancing, cleanliness- the place was spotless! Tanna came to the backdoor and met me, I had just pulled in and she was ready for me. She offered me my choice of drinks as soon as I entered and sat me right in the chair. I'm a little older than the usual hip clientele seeking the fade and saw some great examples of their work. But, for the classic businessman haircut and goatee trim, she was absolutely exceptional. Let me say also, I chose to drive from Cool Springs into South Nashville to get this haircut. 15 minutes to enjoy some non-chain food in Edge Hill and a classic lady barber. Anyway, we were standing on the corner, the 3 of us, all looking at our phones when a gentleman walked up to us and asked us if he could help. When we told him what we were looking for, he smiled, waved us on to follow him and he said, "you'll never guess who I am" and my son said, "Smitty!" which he replied, "Well, not exactly." Apparently Smitty was his father but he owns the shop now. He helped my son out big time and also noticed after completing my son's eyebrows, that my husband needed a haircut, which he did but he's a creature of habit but once I told him he should, he did and got an excellent haircut that he was also pleased with! I have been a client of Reno's; yep the hairdresser's name is Reno, since the late 80s. I have NEVER had a bad haircut. The hormone changes over the past 30 years have wreaked havoc on my hair, but Reno has done a super job managing the new curls in areas where there weren't curls before and straight hairs where there weren't straight ones before. So you walk in and it's just a salon, not the high glamour, clients wearing the most fashionable clothes/gems, loud music, perfume smells but for me, it is welcoming, warm and the staff is very cheerful - plus, I'd rather have a great cut versus all of the glitter of a high-end (i.e. expensive) salon and a bad cut. I've never colored my hair or had it styled with the frou-frou gels, etc, but while waiting for my time in the chair (which has always been a minimal wait time), I've seen the full spectrum of styles and colors. The clientele's ages are quite broad - from young'uns through college students, and young as well as senior adults. There are 4 chairs and each has its own hair stylist (the cuts/styles and colors by these folks have looked great, so that is as much review on them that I can provide). On one of my visits (back in April), Reno made mention that he had broken his pinkie finger. It did not stop him from giving me a FABULOUS cut - although this time, he used his electric clippers. Stop in and give them a try. And, like with many reputable salons, if you don't like your cut (the first one at a new salon is always a wee bit different; number two is always better), go back immediately to get it fixed - they WILL make it right !!! (Remember: badmouthing a business before giving them the opportunity to make it right is unfair to them!) Walk-ins are always welcomed; and, free parking is in the large parking garage just next door.
