I originally booked with Rachel in March and placed a deposit in person at Salon 501, where she recommended coming in closer to the wedding date for trials. I had two trials for both looks, but neither was done neatly. I reached out to Rachel to express that I was still unhappy with the trials and wanted to try again. She responded by saying, "Also, please be aware that even if you were to absolutely love your hair at the next trial appointment, it will not be the exact same on the wedding day." Then she mentioned that she didn't feel she was the best stylist for my wedding. She did not show me her portfolio or recommend any styles that she specializes in. A neighbor had recommended the owner at Salon 501, but she was unavailable and suggested Rachel instead. Rachel's lack of confidence in her abilities did not make me feel confident about continuing to work with her. I have attached examples of the styles I want compared to what I received!

For years, before Brittany, I would ask for crazy colors or several different colors of blond highlights and stylists would just do what they wanted to do or or what seemed to be easier rather than executing the style I wanted. I felt no one was actually listening to me and I have a great eye for unique style so they should listen to me ;). When I finally found Brittany I was so delighted because she actually listens to what I want done to my hair. And the results have been beautiful. She listens and also gives sound advice. For example, one time I wanted to go platinum blonde with my long long hair and she advised against it and told me how risky it was to my hair's health to go that light in one treatment. So she steered me in a better, healthier direction and the results were gorgeous. Furthermore, the best part is that I look forward to seeing Brittany because she is just so fun to talk to.

So incredibly frustrated with my experience today. They were extremely unprofessional. I could tell…read morethey double booked and didn't account for the design time. He was rushing and annoyed. I did specify design when I made my appointment. But they argued with me and said I didn't. Then double checked and saw I was right. I had two designs picked out, hoping one of them would work. When I sat down and showed it, she said she could do it. And I had 3 colors picked out. Then once she has my prior powder dip off this guy comes over and says they don't do 3 color ombré and hands me some 2 color ombres they can do. So I picked something they could do and he sits down and takes over. I put my phone down in front of him showing the original picture. And he gets an attitude saying I just told you I can't do that. I said I just wanted to ask about the glitter on top... to see if you have something similar. He said ok fine... what glitter you want? And someone hands him one and he says you can do this one. So incredibly condescending the whole time. They didn't allot enough time to include a design. They said you can't do a design with ombré. Which is something they should have said when I made the appointment or at least when I got there and showed the picture. He was rushing and not doing a very good job. If they would have said when I made the appointment or even when I got there and showed both pictures, that it wasn't possible then I would have just left. But getting more and more frustrated by your own inadequacies and your own scheduling errors... I wouldn't waste your time or money on this location. I recommend avoiding at all costs. Ps, the design I had picked out I have had done before successfully elsewhere. First pic is what I wanted. Second pic is end results.
