He was very knowledgeable of the technical and aesthetic features of the two vehicles we were interested in, the Forester and the Ascent. He took the edge off assessing a new vehicle with his calm demeanor, politeness, and desire to ensure we were going to be very happy with our selection by asking the right questions and pointing out unique specifics for each model and trim level. A bit disappointed with the sales advisor, took car in for service requested a car wash. Asked at checkout if car had been washed advisor assured me it was. Car was picked up, looking dirty, no wash was performed. It's the principal that bothers me, if car wasn't washed bc it was too busy then say that, or at least double check before you give a false response. read more

Serviced my vehicle on 6 September. I pulled into their express lane for an oil change, before requesting additional services through a service advisor. They immediately updated my work order, and had my oil change, transmission flush, and differential fluid swap all completed within an hour. Additionally, their multi point inspection is thorough (and wasn't pencil whipped). They discovered one of my fog lights was burned out. Staff was courteous and professional. Took my car on Monday for a diagnostic and was told that it will be ready by 5pm and that I will be notified. I was never notified and when call txt the message was never returned. Needed to said I had to use PTO at work because I didn't had a car. When I got my car next day it was not in the shape I left the car. I will have to check on the other parts of the vehicle to see if things are put back for safety concerns. Do not take your car to this dealership. I have driven Volvo for 34 years. the dealership manager was UNPLEASANT - happy to charge $28.99 per quart of oil. thousands to fix anything - they have no idea. They texted me a very NASTY text threatening to tow my car - if I didn't quickly remove it from their lot - BUT I HAD NO CAR THERE. I texted back told them they were in error - got a long phone message today threatening the car will be impounded and the costs will be mounting - just NASTY - I called and spoke with Corey the Volvo service manager - who said they would not bother me again- take your car - take your business elsewhere - they are CRUMMY. Beware! I don't write reviews but I do read them so I've taken the time to write this in hopes that this helps someone. We came to Subaru to get our tire fixed. While our car was there, they told us our brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. Our brakes had been squeaking (we did not mention because we came to get our tire fixed), but because of the squeaking we thought it sounded reasonable to get replaced and took their word. We later that day received a letter in the mail about extended warranty involving the breaks!! Lo and behold squeaking breaks were part of it! We called CALVIN who knew about said extended warranty but never mentioned it! If he knew about warranty and was there to help customers you would think he would tell us about the letter we would be receiving or ask if we had any of the issues. We feel scammed into getting our brakes replaced and it was an awful experience. I truly hope this can help someone to be cautious when dealing with Subaru of Melbourne. My experience was one that left us feeling like their morals were low, and to get their money not to help others. read more

They had us fixed up quickly and were so helpful and friendly. I think some people only go on here to complain and never to compliment. After calling again and pretty much reading this review to Mr. Mark. He got tired of not helping and condoned lying to customers. He then told me I'm adding to the story as I go. Which made it clear he was not listening to me from the start. He claims I'm telling story's and making stuff up to get a raise out of them and that I got the deal intrest rate. I brought my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek in for a rattle in the front of my car. I have a 8 year 120,000 mile platinum warranty factory. They proceeded to tell me I needed front brakes. I said that noise is not from brakes, and my wife is very easy on brakes, typically getting 40k to 50k miles. They charge me a diagnostic fee for mis diagnosing my car. I took it to a friend's dealership to check brakes as I suspected nothing wrong. Do not use Subaru of Melbourne they are a Rip off service dealership! read more

I took my 2011 Outback in for overheating due to a bad head gasket. I told them my car was covered by CarShield and the service reps all started talking about how bad CasShield is. The service rep called to tell me the radiator wouldn't hold water, that "it poured out as fast as it went in". This was a lie and I paid $105 for that lie which caused my claim to be denied with CarShield. I have the car, there are no leaks of any kind in the cooling system, and I'm screwed with the insurance on the engine, and I still owe thousands on a car that is too expensive to repair. The Subaru service department lied to get out of doing the repair. The service manager also lied, stating that the upper raditor hose flange was broken and there was "barely enough room for the hose clamp". The flanges are not broken off. read more

I purchased a vehicle from this dealer to find out later that the odometer had been tampered with. The dealer offered to let me trade the truck in for another in the lot. The dealer provided a fake car fax report, not just once but twice. I had the file a fraud report on the dealer and spend days at law enforcement offices. I kept going to this dealer asking them to correct this major problem. At first they said they will address it, but they haven't done anything other then give me the run around.... so now we have a major odomenter fraud case against them, and I have a vehicle that is worthless.....This is a Federal and State felony charge and it's done a lot in the United States to innocent Customers... Kbb/nada/car max is $24,000-$27,000 for my trade and this dealer tried to offer $21,000. I tried to work numbers and be reasonable but they where not at all gonna move up from there crazy low ball offer of $21,000, keep in mind I have literally no damage on my vehicle. Stay away from this dealer unless you want to get screwed. They will not offer a good price and do not want to price fair. Worst dealer in this area. read more

I brought my 2013 Subaru Outback in for airbag recall, 120,000 service and 4 new tires. Bill was over $2,300. Lesson learned get recall done at Subaru, but all other maintenance and tires at an auto shop and save 100's of dollars. Service staff was great but cost of overall service is out of line. read more

I am definitely upset with the service at this dealership/repair. These guys stink at what they do, and their customer service is awful. I am avoiding profanity, even though I desperately feel like using it. I gave them 1 star, but would give them less if I could. I really dislike these guys, and here is why: I was called in for a mandatory recall of the passenger airbag, and they were very busy. I also had them look at my window which was no longer working. They were so busy that I was treated like I was a bother to them. They charged me over $100 bucks to tell me that the door motor repair would be more expensive than the car is worth. Then, to add insult to injury, when I got my vehicle back, there was missing tabs/snaps and things were ramshackle all over my vehicle and grease marks over the pillars and dash on the inside. I realize that this isn't their vehicle, but you'd think that they would treat customers vehicles better. If how they put everything back together is a reflection of their work, I fear for my passenger - because the airbag my have been put in backwards for all that I know. AWFUL! I asked the service advisor to come out and look, and he called out someone to find the missing snaps... and then watched ME try to snap my center console and covers back into place (that they must have inadvertently unsnapped as they shoved all of my belongings into the center console). I was having a hell of a time trying to do it... finally got it snapped back together and turned around to find that he left. He gave ZERO care that I was trying to fix something that they broke/disassembled. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else. I will never come to them again. I don't know where the next closest Subaru dealership is, but it will be worth the drive. In fact... forget Subaru. Next time I'm getting something else (Ford/Chevy/Honda/Toyota?!? - I used to love my Subie, but these guys got me hating my own ca These guys don't give a care about their customers... likely because they are the only Subaru place around... and don't care if they have your business or not. UPDATE 10/10/18: I fixed the dang thing myself. They quoted me approx $600. I bought the part (regulator and motor) for about $120... took me $20 for a year subscription to the Haynes manual, $3 for the door tool an 45 min to take apart the door replace the motor and regulator and put it back together. We have used Melbourne Volvo/Subaru for several years and find them to be honest, helpful and very responsive. We have had service/repairs on a Volvo C70 and they always did a good job in a prompt manner. We recently bought a Subaru Forester and they did a good job and negotiated a fair price. Looking to buy a new car and had come to the dealership ready to buy and with an ideal In mine of what I wanted. I brought my 2013 Subaru Outback in for maintenance (which cost $1600) and when I brought it home the console USB and power outlet were no longer functioning. They worked perfectly prior to being dropped off. When I called and asked when I could bring it in to be fixed Bill in the service center told me it would cost me a diagnostic fee to be looked at in his shop. It broke while it was under your care. I'm usually hesitant to take my car to dealerships but Subaru of Melbourne has changed my mind. They have the best service department out of all the dealerships I've ever been to! I had an unusual situation there with my Subaru; Mr. Howard and his entire service team (Dominic, Grant, John, Santiago, and Laura, just to name a few) exceeded my expectations by going above and beyond to take care of me and my car. Everyone there is very professional and I could tell each employee genuinely cared about my concerns/needs. They are the definition of excellent customer service. At first this place seemed great, but if you really need assistance be prepared for some lazy responses. We bought a certified used car that had an issue when we got home (meaning their claimed 152-point inspection guarantee is BS). It took DAYS for us to get some kind of response even though the salesperson we worked with said he would be in touch to see how we are liking the car (he never did). In the meantime my bank is calling me with late charges for a car I traded in at this dealership when we bought the car from them. I've called several times to reach their finance department and every time I'm patched through to an even lazier person's voicemail. Never have I been called back. If you want to buy a car, go to Orlando (anywhere but Melbourne or Palm Bay) where people just aren't as lazy and unprofessional. read more

So wife and I bought so called used certified 2017 outback. First day issues half the radio doesn't work took a week for them to get back to me just to take another week to get it in the shop. To be told we will have to order you a new radio. So there 152 point inspection is BS. Second we traded another vehicle in which is fine but now they have not sent the paperwork in so we had to make a payment on it so it doesn't ding our credit. But we don't own that car because we traded it in. No one can give us a answer and just keep transferring us around with no answer just a bunch of I don't knows. So be warned this place only cares about making a sale nothing else. If you car has problems good luck if you trade it in they may not submit payment to the bank for a payoff on a trade in and you will be paying two car payments. BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. If I could give this dealership negative stars I would. We are extremely disappointed in pretty much every aspect of service from this dealership. During the sales process, IAN, the salesperson to avoid, assured us COUNTLESS times that they are a "Capital One dealership" and that I needn't worry about that because through your dealership we would get a lower rate through Capital One. I even presented IAN with my CAPITAL ONE preapproval, and through a texts and emails that I still have he said that I didn't need that because it was all taken care of and all I needed to do was sign the paperwork. It was very important that we remain with CAPITAL ONE and it seems that IAN intentionally deceived us claiming over and over again that they are proud to be a Capital One dealership. So, believing him we signed the paperwork. We received the loan bill this weekend and it is through CHASE. We trusted IAN in his constant boasting that they are a proud Capital One dealership. It doesn't matter what rate it was. I emphatically said that we wanted to REMAIN with Capital One and I had my own preapproval. What a terrible experience we've had so far not only with the sales process but with the car itself. We should have known that there would be countless issues with this car when after less than a week of having it, it now requires a whole new radio system despite supposedly passing their "certified" 150-point inspection process that IAN reassured us was solid. He showed us the inspection sheet more than once when I was having misgivings about the car and sale. The section about the radio, etc., was checked off but it obviously wasn't inspected. So what else is wrong with the car that we have yet to discover? Not to mention that I had to pay Capital One a monthly payment for an Acadia trade in that I no longer have because they failed to submit the payoff in a timely manner. And as of today, almost 2 WEEKS later that payoff still hasn't been paid. So I still have an active Capital One auto finance account open. It's no wonder when I called Capital One last week to assure them that the payoff is coming and that I have another car loan that should be processing with them they didn't know what I was talking about. read more

I think a place like this can come across as honest and trustworthy if you're buying a brand new car and the car has no issues. But if you're buying a used car from them, this is the true test of their integrity and they failed miserably. My husband and I purchased a used Honda Pilot here with Joe at the end of August. The rear hatch/lift gate light was on and wasn't working. Joe casually said they had just disconnected it for some reason and made it seem like it was no big deal. Bad on us for not making him "reconnect" it right away. But when you're an honest and trustworthy person yourself, you often think others will be the same way. Instead of reconnecting it while we were signing papers, they did nothing. Only for us to get in the car to leave and see the light still on. And then to be told it was actually broken. They instructed us to take it to a Honda dealer and contact them and they'd "see what they can do." We we're stuck at that point and that was exactly what they wanted to happen. We did take it to a Honda dealer and paid $150 to find out the motor was broken and it was going to be a $1k fix. Not to mention the rotors were warped and the rear shock was leaking. It took an entire week for Joe to respond to us regarding what they would do. And of course their answer ultimately was that we bought it "as is" and it was our responsibility to fix it. Which is true, we did buy it as-is, but we purchased it based on an assumption that the lift gate wasn't broken. I wouldn't go back to this place if they were giving away free cars. We're stuck now with a car that has major issues and every bit of the cost is on us, but at the end of the day, at least I can live with myself and know that my character and integrity mean more to me than making a buck. Shame on you, Joe. I hope the few hundred bucks you made are worth being deceitful and dishonest. As my grandmother always says "you can't do wrong and get by." One day you'll regret living up to the stereotypical car salesman behavior. read more

Be aware. Nice during purchase but when needing assistance after the sale for a problem I had neither the manager Mark or GM Brett had the effort to reply to a simple email. Purchased car then had a change of heart with a much needed feature lane keep assist that I had before and thought I was ok without it but had a scare on the road and I discovered that I defiantly needed it. Also, had family member with cancer and needed to change back to original car because of better mileage on my previous car. We went for a minor tire repair...I kind of wanted to check the dealership out...and found the customer service to be excellent, and the employees very friendly and competent. I wish we had checked out this store for our lease before we drove to "South Orlando" which turned out to be OK but far from ideal. I came to this dealership ready to purchase a 2016 WRX STI and left with only the knowledge that I will never do business with them. Before going in, I did my due diligence and contacted every dealership with a similar STI from here to the Gulf of Mexico to request best-offer quotes. When I sat down with the salesman at Subaru of Melbourne, I explained that I don't do the "back-and-forth" haggling nonsense and that I've already received quotes from other dealers with excellent offers. I requested that they present their best offer in writing so that I may compare offers and make my decision. The first offer the salesman returned with was a joke. The out-the-door price on a car with an MSRP of $37,110 was nearly $40,000. I scoffed at the offer. The salesman then said that this wasn't necessarily the best price I could get. Apparently they did not understand what I meant when I asked for their best offer. The salesman went and got the sales manager to whom I again explained that I do not play games and I wanted their very best offer on the table. After a slightly unpleasant conversation, they left and a few minutes later the salesman returned with an offer that was $600 or $700 lower than the first. I then went to lunch to make my decision and determined that their "best offer" was significantly off the mark compared to dealerships in Sanford and Tampa (that are owned by the same family). I called the salesman and explained that they had come up short and that I would not be doing business with them. Less than an hour later, I receive a call back from him with a new "last ditch offer to try to keep your business". Their offer of $38,444 was finally in the ballpark of the other offers I received and I would have accepted it gladly had they provided it when I asked for their best offer. My takeaway from this experience is that some dealerships only give you a good price as a last resort while others will offer it up front. The offers I received from the dealerships in Sanford and Tampa without any haggling or brinksmanship were still lower than the offer Subaru of Melbourne presented as a last resort. Myself, I prefer to do business with people that don't try to rip me off. If you're thinking about buying a Subaru, please put in the leg work before you decide where to buy. Just going on Subaru.com and clicking the "Get EPrice" button while looking at dealer inventory will help you sort out the honest and upfront dealerships from those that will try to take advantage of you. You'll find that some dealerships respond with a "web price" that's significantly below MSRP or they offer pricing 1% above invoice. At least in my case, these dealerships were the best. read more
