Dealer receipt re-doing work they did not do, but charged me for
    Kip B.

From my google review,... I bought my XTS at Murphy Cadillac where I bought my previous two Cadillacs. Tasca has all of Murphy's business now and all the previous customers. When my air ride suspension compressor went out, on my XTS, I went straight to Tasca to have it repaired. A week later I paid, $1550, $250 of that was a loaner they charged me for. Driving home I noticed the car was tilted to the passenger side. When I got home, I looked under the car and saw that Tasca did not install the new compressor lines that came with the compressor from Delco. Nor did they change the 'ride-height sensor and bracket' that they charged me for. I could see road dirt. I brought it back and pointed out the old parts while the car was on the lift. They agreed that they did not change the parts I was charged for. Stetson, the shop Forman told me he would personally work on my car and put the parts in they they left out, adding, "but it might cost more." Greg Gorman looked at the car, they ordered the new parts and I came back a few days later. When I came back a few days later they took the car to put in the parts that were not installed the first time and would correct the leaning to the right. I came back 4-5 days later, 3rd time there and picked up the car. The cashier got the car for me, there were no service people in sight. When she brought my car out, I could see it was standing way too tall in the rear, about 7" over at the wheel well too tall and 10" at the top of the trunk. The air bags were fully extended to the maximum height. There were no service people there to bring this to their attention. The ride home was bouncy because of the over inflated air bags. When I went back a few days later, I was given a loaner at no charge. 5 days later I received a call from Advisor, Mr. Flood, that the car was in spec, no change needed, and that now I need new front struts which are low making the rear "appear" too high. Now I went back and brought it to their attention the ride height way too high. I got a blank stare and no recourse. They did not correct the ride height. I implored them to connect to the port and adjust the ride height. They would not comment. Weeks later I brought my car to Mike Erdman Cadillac on 520 in Cocoa, Florida. They gave me a loaner and calibrated the ride height in one day through the onboard computer port. Now my car rides level in all four corners and is smooth. That cost me $399.25, money I should not have to have spent. Tasca wasted my time and money and ignored my complaint. I had to resort to a different dealer to correct their errors.

    Our needle in a haystack.

Shut down completely in the middle of the Highway. This was a scared moment of my life. I called the tow truck company; Premier Towing and Transport, they with came less than 20 mins. I still can't believe they came that fast. I called Assured Auto and explained to JD what happened to my truck. I was heading home back to Tallahasee from vacation. JD told me to get the truck tow there. We got there at 2:35pm. They completed a full diagnostics. They noticed some bolts was loosen on my Alternator. They tighten it. They also noticed something no connection to the car giving out of power. JD suggested for me to go back to the Auto shop who completed the work because of warranty JD took picture of it and printed it out to give to the Shop. Truck was Tested drive it no more power issues. I was back on the road by 4:30pm. I'm so grateful for them to get me in and out so quickly. They also have Complementary varieties of soft drinks for their customers and when you leave, they write a personal note with a blow pop sucker. This was so sweet. With what's going on in the world, it's the small things like this can bring a big impact on someone's life. Again, super grateful. Best customer services I've received in years at an Auto Shop. I wish there were closer in case I need them again.

As time went on the truck's performance went down. I am not a mechanic, and it was time for professional help. We had our car service at Farlow Automotive back in March. Farlow made our six-year-old car run like new. The work done on our car was great, so I proceeded to take my truck to Farlow. Trusting in an automotive shop these days is rare, but I felt I was dealing with an honest establishment. I drop my truck off and tell them to fix everything that needs fixing. Anyone who knows me will tell you this is not like myself to make this kind of statement. The mechanic assigned to my truck was Ralph. I went down after a few days to talk to Ralph, and he told me what needed fixing. We have a little back and forth and it dawns on me that Ralph knows his "Stuff"! Also, he loves working on old vehicles. Ralph, shows me the work completed up to this point and what else has to be done. He shows me a vacuum leak coming from the manifold and tells me this is affecting the engine's performance. To tell you the truth I did not know about the truck running on a vacuum system. Ralph goes through the truck, flushes the radiator, flushes the transmission installed new filter, changed cap, wirespoints and plugs, flushes the brake fluid, fixes my power steering problem by adding a new belt just for the power steering pump and a whole bunch of necessary work. Now my truck is running like new, it is like I dropped off a 4 cylinder, and they gave me back an 8 cylinder. In closing all I can say that if you are looking for an honest shop look no further. Not only are they honest but very friendly, which I like, there is a good vibe at Farlow. Make sure you ask for Ralph, he is an all-star in my book.

Let me start at the beginning…read more Thurs. Aug 14, 2025: My 2003 Toyota Tundra overheated driving up 95 at around 70 MPH (or close to that speed - grin). I immediately pulled over and shut off the engine - I knew I had a small water leak as I had to add a little water every couple of days. I just hadn't gotten ARTI (around to it) to fix it. Oh yea, I restarted the engine just long enough to see if it had seized - it had not. Since I was closer to Rockledge than to my truck's normal mechanic, Farlows Automotive, located in Melbourne, I had it towed to Schlenker's. The Brevard Towing driver restarted it and drove onto the Jerry-Dan tow bed. Now BTW, I'd use Schlenker's numerous times - Before Schlenker's Was Sold. For those past visits to Schlenkers, work was done on my truck, my sisters car,and my wife's car. The work was the usual, some regular maintenance, and even some major work. - please remember, this was before the shop was sold. For the work they performed over several years, I was very satisfied, even happy, with their work (and cost!). Fri. Aug15th: I received a call from Schlenker's that consisted of "You need a new engine" and "it had no fluid in it". Well my reaction was $@%^. The "no fluid" to me meant water AND oil. OK, I forgot to mention, the rear seal had been weeping a little, but the cure of that was a lot more $$ than just adding a quart or so every 3000 mile oil change. Look, the truck had over 290k miles on her. Just a An rear seal replacement costs more than $,000 with engine removal/reinstall. A replacement if needed, would be range from north of $,000 to $0,000, if we could even find another Tundra engine. Anyway, this situation called for a second opinion - especially since the engine had been restarted by me, AND the tow guy when he drove it onto the tow truck. I called Farlow's and arranged for my truck to be towed to them over the weekend. I spent Saturday looking for a Tundra 4.7 liter engine. FINALLY found a used one in Calif. It came out of a truck with 140K miles on it - $2,400 delivered to Melb. Monday AUG 18th: Farlow's called me. The radiator was cracked and the seal for the thermostat housing was leaking. I had them do a compression check just to see - all eight cylinders were within spec. I said fix it. And I added a few other items to the work order. Tuesday AUG 19th: Fallow's called. My fabulous old truck was ready. They had replaced the radiator, new gasket for the thermostat, all new plugs and coils (#7 had been acting up), oil and filter change, checked and charged the AC, AND put in a new battery (old Diehard was over 4 yrs old) for less than the used engine would have cost delivered from Calif. I was grinning. Cost to be told I needed a new engine - $139.05 - wonder what the nickel was for...Taxes probably. Cost to cure - Less that the $$ for the ONLY engine I and the guys at Farlow's could find. They had searched on Friday, before actually seeing the truck. The final cure was A LOT less! Picture me GRINNING!
