I would not recommend this company to anyone. I wanted to get four words engraved into a flask as a wrap gift, and not only did they want 25$ to do it, which I thought was really pricy for such a small task, but they wanted another 20$ to be able to do it in less than a week. 45$ for four words? They also refused to answer any of my original emails through their website, and with their limited hours and my work schedule it was really difficult for me to get in touch with them. I chose this shop specifically because I read such great reviews, and also against my better judgement (after my first phone inquiry with a gentleman that was abrupt and rude all three times that I ultimately spoke with him on the phone). Kori was very personable, but she told me my matting for my 6 pieces of artwork (I already had frames) would be ready on a Friday, but it was not, apparently because she was sick. I understood this, although I would have appreciated a phone call to explain the delay. I was told the order would possibly be ready the following Monday, but Tuesday came and I had not heard anything. I called and was told it was ready, however, when I picked everything up, none of the artwork was adhered to the matting, which I wasn't thrilled about, but I still didn't want to complain. I was told Kori couldn't adhere it for me because she did not have the frames in her possession. The only reason she did not have the frames, was because she told me to take them with me after I initially placed my order with her. I did attempt to leave them initially. When I got home, the way she had taped my artwork into some cardboard required tearing paper around it to get the prints out, and this slightly damaged the edges of two of my prints. Also, we ordered matting that was meant to leave some of the white edges of certain prints showing, and the measurements were very precise for each mat, but it was unclear which mat went with which print, as nothing was marked. It was also so hard to adhere the artwork so precisely myself, and every bit of tape from each attempt I made, slightly damaged the back of the mat and put my prints at further risk. This is why I went to a professional. I realize they would probably prefer I purchase frames as well, but I believe the quality of the service should still be high. I paid over $40 for each mat. The least she could have done was add a piece of tape to attach each print to the correct mat, since I assume she would not have struggled to do so with her level of experience. Or, she could have used her level of expertise to advise me that she must have the frames. Surely she understood the challenge this would pose for me. I am sorry she wasn't feeling well, but it isn't a good enough reason for bad service. If this was all because they prefer not to sell mats only, I did inquire if they were wiling, and honestly wish they had sent me away instead. read more

The woman that was working that day was very nice and EXTREMELY helpful. I didn't make a decision that day, and settled on a cool trophy that I found online. I found Suburban after trying another trophy shop close to my house. I do some volunteer work with a women's shelter and was looking to have some achievements plaques made. The first place had a very limited selection and mediocre customer service. The people at Suburban were very professional and helpful and the selection in their showroom was impressive. I had never purchased a plaque before and no idea what I was doing but they guided me through every step. They fell well within my budget and completed my order in only a few days. Just go into this place knowing you need to stay on top of it, if you want to get your order on time. I took in three items for framing...2 smaller prints and a sports jersey. Pick up time was 1 month later. So, 1 month and 2 days later I went by to get my items. The 2 smaller pieces were finished, but the main one...the birthday gift...the $500 framed jersey...hadn't even been started! I was astounded! And I'm afraid my comment regarding leaving a yelp.com review was what spurred on the completion of my framed jersey in the following 48 hours. When finally completed, all the work was very well done. No discount or compensation for not being ready on time was offered. Don't take for granted that the promised time of completion will be accurate. If you need item(s) for a birthday or special event, follow up yourself before then to be sure its done on time. I've had nothing but great experiences here! The attention by the framer was very helpful in allowing me to choose what looked perfect for my vintage Miro litho. Much better than Micheals craft shop and their quote was less also - good all 'round. I like the setting and though I wasn't in any kind of rush to get my pic done it was ready in a week and a half or so. I felt comfortable, not rushed and got to make my choices at my leisure - gotta love the amount of frames to pick from too - I've bought cars faster than I could pick a frame that day. She was still quite easy on me and very helpful. I've had about 4 things framed here, I'll continue to come as I really like this place for my nice family pieces to be done and done right! I would not recommend. They are so unorganized and nothing is ever on time. I ordered a crystal awared with the help of the owner ,Sean, for my dad for Father's Day on June 10th and was told it would be ready on the 17th. It took them 3 extra days to finish because they "lost my paper work". And when I emailed the owner Sean multiple times to check on my order I still never got a response on when my order would be ready. And when I went to pick it up they spelled my dad's name wrong and tried to charge me again! So On Father's Day I didn't have anything to give him because I spent 160$ on a crystal award that wasn't made right. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never again order from this horrible company. So unreliable especially the owner. read more
