What a cute place to shop. The store is full of handcrafted goods from jewelry, body lotions and soaps to name just a few. The staff are friendly and helpful we had a great time wondering around purchasing some unique gifts for friends will definitely be returning for another shopping day!

Wild Oats and Billy Goats is an absolute vibe. Not only that, I'll go as far as to say it's my happy place. They have a fun rotation of art here. I'm slowly building a sheet metal petting zoo after each visit here. It's so hard to leave this place empty handed. The staff is always friendly, and I highly recommend you stop by if you're in Downtown Decatur.

If you like art at all, I can guarantee you'll find something in this adorable business. They have handmade work from all over, and there were so many things I wanted to take home. Ceramics and pottery, jewelry, woodwork, metalwork, glasswork, paintings, cards, wall art, and so much more is available. The worker we talked to while there was so nice, and said that they ship as well. There are some things that were absolutely out of my price range, but there were a lot of things that were also in my budget. I really like the area, and this shop only sweetens the deal.

After having brunch with a friend, we decided to take a little tour of Decatur Square area and ended with Wild Oats & Billy Goats. When I first walked up to the building, I thought it was some kind of kid's store. But is actually a gift shop. You can find art, pottery, jewelry, stationary, etc. There are a number of unique finds here. However, there wasn't much that was up my alley and items were more than I would regularly pay. Nice place to walk around see what is being offered though.

    Nice jewelry pieces.

Not a welcoming environment. Cute shop but I wouldn't go out of my way to stop by again.

The person working the register said hello when I came in and went back to looking at their computer screen. But once I was no longer in view, the person came to do a circle around the area where I was standing and said, "I'm doing inventory." GIRL, BYE. I'm an auditor by profession and I know what conducting an inventory looks like. Also, people just doing their job do their jobs without explanation required. There were some other things this person did and overall, it was an ugly experience. I haven't been profiled in a long time and it still feels gross and reminds me how awful people can be. I found something special for my friend, and I bought it. I also bought it for myself because after this experience I needed something soothing too. I won't let one person change my mind about a place I shopped at for years but if I see this person when I walk in, I'm turning around and leaving. HomeGrown has great gifts if you want something locally-made that feels special. And in all these years, this is the only time I've experienced anything like this so I'll likely be back. Just some of the shine is gone.

The Beehive on Caroline Street is easily one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. It's so much more…read morethan just a store; it's a creative escape. I've spent quite a few weekends there taking everything from sewing and flower arranging to candle making, and every single class has been a joyful experience. There's something refreshing about stepping away from a screen and actually making something with your hands. The boutique side is just as great--it's packed with unique, high-quality gifts from local makers, so you're always finding something one-of-a-kind. Plus, they give you 20% off any purchases on the day you take a class, which makes it nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. If you're looking for a new hobby or just want to support the local creative scene, you really can't beat the vibe here.

This is my first and last experience with this store…read more I ordered the Flight of Fancy tote on May 10th, with one more left in stock after I placed my order. It is now May 29th and today I received a generic email saying the item is out of stock and I was issued a refund. BUT before that, I received a text from the store manager Mari that due to a glitch in their system, my order had just gone through on May 18th. She assured me the issue was remedied and my order would ship out the next day. When my order had not shipped by the end of the week, I emailed her directly. She replied this past Monday, saying the person responsible for shipping orders abruptly left. She again assured me my order would ship the next day. It did not, and I contacted her via text, asking her to cancel my order. Without a response directly from her, I got an automated email today that said my order was refunded because the item is now out of stock. I waited almost three weeks for my order to ship and then it got canceled, not because I requested it, but because the tote bag was out of stock. They didn't set aside one to ship to me when it was available once my order actually populated a week later. The locals seem to love this store but I'm not a local and if I were in charge, this is not the experience I'd want a customer to have or the impression I'd want to make.
