Called around to others, but only East End Exterminating answered promptly and sent a technician the same day. What a relief! Great that they are local for responsive service. The technician arrived within the scheduled window and diagnosed the ant problem efficiently. He treated the areas and was respectful of our environment and belongings. Ants are persistent pests, but I felt East End treated for them thoroughly and I hope I will not need them to come back. After seeing evidence of a rat, and meeting the large guy in my basement, I tried to resolve the…read moreissue myself. I found a crack in a roof drain pipe near the main sewer outlet to the street. Sealed the likely entrance, built trap boxes ( YouTube... ) and used various baits. Rats are extremely smart and fast. He'd get the food but not caught. After a a few weeks I gave in and searched for an exterinator. The reviews about Joe prompted me to get in touch. The reviews describe him perfectly ! He came the next day. We spent almost 2 hours going around the house inspecting for evidence of entry points, nests, activity as well as getting to know each other. He is truly a nice guy who knows his craft ! Joe seemed impressed by my approach. Thought, based on what he saw, that there might only be the one and didn't see any obvious additional enrty points. He suggested a few new baits and traps and we decided to stay in touch before moving to poison. He refused payment for his time and advice. He promptly replied to my status texts over the next few days. Nobody caught, no success... until I got him ! Sent Joe pictures. Recieved a congratulations reply ! Now going to keep monitoring for a few weeks, traps set. Maybe my problem is solved. Fingers crossed my visitor didn't have friends and family. She took the time to communicate with me even before we hired her. I couldn't believe how much she knew, including more than 2 doctors! Her price point was in line with every other company. I had never experienced bedbugs and knew nothing about them or the signs. Sam took care of everything! She talked and then walked us through the entire process making us feel confident that we would not have to "burn our house down" which was my initial solution. After one conversation with her, I knew she would solve our problem. She was beyond thorough and did an amazing job! All of our furniture was moved around so she could get into every crevice. Go for the contract, they come whenever you need to get rid of pests which is frequent here, all for one price. They're also mindful of pets and kids who may use the areas. They give you good information about what they're putting down and how long it takes to work or when you can use the area etc. Family business and they care about their customers.

I have no idea who that third party would be and I would have to pay this company for the service. Based on what they say in their inspection report they will let me know if they want to take my job. No same day service. No direct service promised even after I pay them just under $200 to send a third party. Felt like they just don't want this business yet they will take the money and possibly decline my job. Poor service all at my expense with no promises. Stay away!!!!! There are better firms out there.
