That said, we weren't able to proceed with the service. The technician explained that the only way he could remove the nest from the AC unit would be with force (and harmful to the birds ), so we opted to leave things alone. We had yellow jackets coming into our house but could not find the nest. Exterminex came and gave us an estimate and a great price. They treated the chimney where the nest had been located and guaranteed a 30 day period in which they would return if they returned. Birds! So I called a few services and had some pretty strange phone calls, and even worse visits from all. They had no clue and just kept bumbling around the house. I had no idea that you can get messages on Yelp new to that project section, then I noticed that Jason had responded asap. The. technician was able to solve the problem of unwanted visitors under my deck . The technician responded to my initial call promptly, inspected my property and immediately applied treatment and traps to clear the space under my deck of rats. A two week followup showed that the rats were no longer active, but Sean applied additional poison and traps to be sure that the rodents were gone. Terrible service. Towards the end of the three months contract when the problem was still not resolved , a technician said he came by to inspect and never did. Calls to the owner were answered, but excuses were given as to why the tech said he came when he didn't ( wrong number called they said). I spent 700 bucks and the problem is still active today. There is nothing Scarier then hearing noises in the wall of your home...we sat here terrified I looked for a company to help I was fearing rats squirrels bats birds WHO knows I contacted another company ...that sent me a message they could not help me?? really your a pest exterminator but could not help me I called Exterminex not sure who I spoke to on the phone but he assured me he could help me what ever the beast in the wall was. and some one would come TODAY! not 4 hours later Sal was at our door he came in spent time waiting to hear the sound after a thorough check of the outside of the house and hearing the sound he told us he is almost sure it was a bird now I feel sorry (no really I don't ) for the animal but also breathed sighs of relief that it was not something worse (ie a rat or a squirrel) pricing was pretty clear I was told what prices it would be depending on what was found Sal set something in the hole he thought the bird got in explaining if the material isnt moved when he returns in a few days it was in fact just a bird he showed and explained what should be done to keep pests from entering again I really hope I never ever have to call these people again read more

The first time we called Exterminex was in April because a couple of wasps had made their way inside. I found them on Angie's list and they are very highly rated there. It was a pleasure setting up the appointment and they understood exactly how urgent I felt this problem was without me having to say it. They set me up for someone to come to the house for an indoor and outdoor wasp inspection. Sean came to the house the next day and did a great job. He is obviously good at what he does and is very kind and personable. It only cost a couple hundred dollars and we got a 90 day guarantee. Since it was early in the season, Sean assured us that as the weather got hotter, he would be visiting again. We were fine until today when another wasp made his way into the house and I called Exterminex right away. Cindy was extremely helpful and assured me (at 2pm) that someone would be at the house before 6pm. I was hoping that the someone would be Sean and it was. He arrived at 3:15! For no charge (as we are still in the 90 day guarantee period) he came and did a full inspection and found two nests. Again, courteous and professional. I saw a mouse back in July & caught it right away with a glue trap so I kept the glue traps out all summer and kept catching baby mice every week or 2. I'd hear them in the ceiling at night since i live in a basement apartment. I even put peppermint oil soaked cotton balls all around the house & in the ceiling. Nothing helped! We finally decided to call Exterminex since the problem wasnt going away. I told them the problem & they had no issue with putting traps in the ceiling. We decided to go with the 90 day package. They sealed up a few holes around the house & a week later they caught 4 mice in the ceiling. Nothing since!! So happy to have a rodent free home and not worry about seeing another mouse!! Fantastic experience with Exterminex. My wife and I started seeing cave crickets in our house and we immediately called Exterminex to resolve the problem. Sean, the Exterminex technician, came over a few days later and inspected the problem areas (basement: boiler room, closets, etc.). He sprayed and put down bait around the house. Sean answered all of our questions about cave crickets and the overall infestation that has occurred across Long Island. He regaled us with a story of how he once walked into a home and saw thousands (!!!) of crickets in a closet. He then provided us honest feedback about what program we needed (30 day program) instead of trying to convince us to buy a 90-day or even yearly package. We learned that Fall is when you're most likely to see the crickets as they're escaping the cold. During the winter, they go underground so you shouldn't see them again for a while. Again, so far we've had a great experience with Exterminex and I hope I never have to deal with them again! But if I do, I will gladly call them and ask for Sean! read more

Don't use this company. I've had the service contract since last year July 2018. There weren't any problems so I never have to call for any service. Last month on 6/21 (2 weeks before my service contract ended) we had an ant problem in the kitchen. The technician came and treated the kitchen area along with the bathroom which is right behind the kitchen. Everything went well until 7/7 when more ants were found in that bathroom. So, I called the office for service. I was told that I must renew my service contract of $525 since it has already expired on 7/3/19. But, they should have considered that they did not do a good job because the ant problem was still there. With my type of service contract, which I pay more than $500, they should have automatically scheduled at least 4 treatments. It is such a waste money. read more
