The waitress came over to take our orders and helped me choose between 2 dishes that I was torn over. The drinks service was a little slow but the food was timey and the presentation on all the dishes was amazing! My Dad opted for a seafood platter, which came with smoked salmon, crayfish, cockles, mackerel and crab slaw all served with sourdough bread, hollandaise and aioli sauces - seafood heaven! My Mum went for the lamb and goats cheese burger that was divine! The lamb was cooked to perfection with it being pink in the middle and served with a yummy mint yogurt dip and sun-dried tomatoes. I was stuck between the club sandwich and BBQ pulled pork open sandwich. On recommendation I went for the pork, which was served, on sourdough toast with melted Monterey cheese - heaven! I was having food-envy looking at the lamb burger but was not in anyway disappointed with my pork. Finishing off our meal with the Parlour's specialty - ice creams all round! I have a new found love for the homemade lemon meringue cone... There is so many flavours including apple pie and the originals too - its an ice cream lovers heaven! Our leisurely lunch here was fab and they are also promoting the "Super Club" on the 18th of July that is a diner's paradise! With three courses plus their homemade ice cream at £25 a head it doesn't break the bank either. This place was definitely worth the 20-minute drive and I will be back to try their dinner menu!

But not here I think I saw a few cute things for sale but mostly they were focused on their food and I was told famous ice cream! Having flown home from holiday on 23 December to an empty fridge I was wondering how I would deliver Christmas lunch for 10. I was able to buy pretty much everything I needed from Moorhouse in a 45 minute shop. I even managed to pick up some last minute presents - pickles, jams, sauces, nougat, fine chocolates & sweets, local ales...perfect stocking fillers for those who enjoy these things. The staff were friendly, helpful and in festive spirits - a welcome change to the last minute jostling and lack of Christmas cheer elsewhere. There was next no wait to pick up my turkey, due to a very organised system for ordering/collection. The turkey and trimmings were delicious - the easiest Christmas lunch I have ever prepared and to receive such praise for it, for so little effort, was great. I buy my meat, fruit and veg here all year round. It is the best farm shop in the area and remarkably economical as you can buy the quantities you need. For anyone yet to discover this gem - you should try it out.

This store is very popular among shoppers and the staff of the mall at lunch times! There is almost always a queue at times when people want to eat (breakfast, lunch, tea-time). The products available are the same as you can get at any Greggs in the county: cakes, fresh bread, pasties, pies. I enjoy the strawberry tarts here but more often than not I avoid busy Greggs and shop at a similar bakery store at the opposite end of Manor Walks. They provide a more homely service that a big store like Greggs is unable to provide.
