I was so surprised because the price was so affordable and it's also unlimited rice. There was a toyomansi (soy sauce + calamansi) sauce but I didn't use much of it because the chicken was already perfect to me. The chicken skin was crispy, the taste was savory and slightly sweet which worked together so well. It was a well balanced dish. The people serving us were so sweet. I'm filipino so the restaurant environment and how I was treated made me feel like I was at home. They gave us gloves so we could eat with our hands and I haven't done that in years (if you don't know how to eat with your hands, there are utensils as well lol). It took me back to my childhood. Now the tables have turned, although they are still the original tables. I jest, but as nearly every review of an Albert's stressed, a visit generally means a throwback to 80s décor, so much so I'm surprised to see no hipsters! It is Bonnie Doon, however, and the neighbourhood and mall has yet to see the fruits of housing turnover and improved public transit. As for what really matters, this Albert's location is clean, the service efficient and professional, and the breakfast food is consistently good. Expect to pay at least $10-$13 for breakfast, although the 55+ crowd (the majority of the patrons), qualify for a cheaper and more reasonably portioned meal. I like to come here with older friends/family, or with a larger group before we head off for a day of activity. Go Albert's! You're 2/2 in terms of your locations for me so far!

We stayed on the line with that number for 45 minutes before giving up and calling the hotline. The hotline provided was the hotline to the US and we waited 20 minutes to talk to a rep just to tell us to call the Canadian hot line. The Canadian hotline gave us the real number to the store. We got ahold of the local store and they rudely told us that they had phoned us but we didn't answer. They told us they would be right back with the pizza and that "it was not a problem". Finally, at 7:45, we got the pizza from a rude delivery driver (and had to pay for it). The pizza was cold, undercooked, cut unevenly so that some pieces were a quater of the size of the big pieces AND we found a long black curly hair in it (as you can see in the photo).
