Our last experience at Twisted Vine was so incredibly stupid and infuriating that we found a new site for the family trips. We called on Friday night to ask if they were still dog friendly. We've taken the dogs here on at least two prior occasions and never had any issues but with COVID, we understood that things have changed. We were assured on the phone that the patio was still dog friendly. We piled into the car and made the trek over only to be turned around at the door. That is frustrating enough, but when the moron behind the counter started talking to my wife, she said they never allowed dogs on the patio (news to us, and our dogs who have been there) and that we must have confused them with the place next door (which we have never been to). We noted that we called the night before and the idiot shouted 'no you didn't, you would have talked to me!' My wife pulled out her phone and read off the number she called. Dumbo confirmed that was their number and STILL told us we didn't call (wtf?). She did seem to remember that we also asked for two cases of a particular wine on the same call (that supposedly didn't happen) which were ready for us to pick up. Do yourself a favor and bring some wine if you come visit Kane. Spend your money at the excellent brewery 5 doors down and the butcher shop a half mile down the road.
