They do beer samples and flights. Hospitality is top notch in these small towns. Ambience - very cool old building with a lot of wood! The owner does some incredible wood working. The beer was cold and made for a great drink as we set up camp and built a fire. Ah, the Bent burger--a prime example of how a simple, delicious hamburger can be completely ruined by a slew of unnecessary toppings. Instead of sticking to the classic approach of a juicy patty, they decided to throw on pork, a fried egg, and a medley of other ingredients that clashed rather than complemented each other. It was a chaotic mishmash of flavors that worked against itself, leaving me wondering why anyone thought this was a good idea. Gimmicks like that are rarely a recipe for success in my experience. The tacos and wings? Equally lackluster. The wings were bland, devoid of any real flavor punch despite the garlic and Parmesan claims, and the tacos were so underwhelming they could have been served at a school cafeteria. In summary, Bent Run Brewery is just another cog in the wheel of craft beer clichés, serving up a loud atmosphere, long lines, and gimmicky food that fails to impress. If you're looking for a genuine experience with great beer and simple, tasty food, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. If you are able to "plug in" to this nonsense, then it's worth a try.

Our bartender was friendly and welcoming, and mentioned they weren't officially open that day except for the event, so we appreciated being welcomed in. I ordered a pumpkin beer and it was SO GOOD. Straub is very small in size and operations but all employees we met and observed were very courteous and friendly. The endless taps were a nice touch to experience by letting guests sample from 3 varieties of brew. You were able to have 2 full sized cups, not a 4 ounce taster. In the bar/restaurant there were multiple choices of brews on tap or canned/bottled and a vast selection of mementos for the collectors. We didn't eat there as we had packed a picnic lunch for later, but the food we were smelling was very enticing. We want to return for one of the weekend parties they have in their courtyard. Take the time and visit, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We regularly visit Cook Forrest and were looking for a nearby restaurant that offers a "step above" the tavern fare that typifies the area. Current positive web reviews about Table 105 motivated us to make the drive to Kane. The friendly, front-house team was efficient in greeting, seating and serving us. The extensive and enticing menu whetted our appetites with detailed descriptions of all selections. Likewise, the beverage list had many tempting and unique options. The Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip with house-made potato chips was especially tasty. The dip had a terrific balance of flavors and the chips were addictive (not greasy or overly salted). The Usual Burger was anything but usual; the beef was clearly superior in quality and was seasoned to excite the tastebuds. The fries were crunchy, scrumptious and disappeared fast. The Towering Ahi Tuna Wonton made me howl. The tuna was especially fresh and the accompanying relish, sauce, sliced ginger and wasabi resulted in a sushi BOMB.
