This place is a tried and true staple in Kane. Very little has changed over the years, but that's truly what makes it so great. Texas Hot Lunch is beloved by adults and children alike - and when you step foot inside, it's easy to see why. The booth seating is quite unlike anything else we see today. They are small and rather tightly packed together, and they all have coat hooks! The menu has a bit of something for everyone, but in my humble opinion, if you want the real Texas Hot experience, you have to get the hot dogs with special sauce and french fries - they are just the best. This has a Denny's type feel and menu but definitely more fresh. The prices take you back to the 90s, a sandwich under $10, what?? And the quality is very good. The restaurant has that personal family owned feeling and I enjoyed that. We got the pizza logs (sooo good, I feel like kids would love those) & 2 Greek salads. Which was were fresh and great. I also had a cup a chili which I wasn't too impressed with bc it was rather runny. But I am used to chunkier type of chili. Service was excellent & restrooms were very clean! read more

Passing through Kane for the evening and my husband and I had the best meal and service here. You can't beat the price! We each had 2 entrees, he had a salad, I had a soup and a soft drink, he had 2 beers and it was all only $35. The food was delicious too! I wish we had one of these where I live. Stop in for breakfast almost every morning. The service is spot on, friendly, and never get my order wrong. I try different things now and then, all of which are great, but my go to is the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with jalapeños added. OKAY, this restaurant was all my IDEA...When I saw the signs for Texas HOT I was like what is that??? so when we passed through this little town full of old historical homes and buildings I said HEY LETS STOP. I was traveling with my hubby and daughter and they were hungry and good to go for anything new. The building it was in was old and the restaurant has been here awhile. I just absolutely love love loved the interior in the bar area with the dark wooden old booths from the 30s and 40s...GORGEOUS is an understatement for the décor. I order the texas hot which is basically their chili or sauce version for hot dogs..NAH...not for me...but it was a nice location. It was not that expensive and I would eat here again if I was in the area, just not the Texas Hot Lunch Hot dog..something different definitely !!! We stopped here to get food for a nice Sunday stroll and it was very good my father had some Greek food that he really enjoyed with great flavor and I had a great roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. This place is main reason everyone in the Kane area is moribily obese. I stopped by for breakfast this morning and everything tasted like it was drenched in two sticks of melted butter. The coffee was OK at best not really outstanding. And last but not least this place is CASH ONLY. A sign on the door would have been nice. I am one of those people who prefers not to carry wads of paper and metal around and hate being forced to use a onsite ATM with a fee that increases the price of the meal by 40%! The only pluses I can give towards this place is that the service was quick and that the parking outside was free. We stopped in Kane on our way from Kinzua Bridge to Cooks Forrest on our girls weekend adventure this past weekend. We were desperate for a place to eat as we hadn't eaten all day and were pretty hungry. We were pleasantly surprised to find this little (actually not so little) place. We didn't know if there would be a "church" crowd or if we'd have a hard time finding seats since it was 1p on a Sunday - but had absolutely no problems finding a booth to get comfy in. Their menu is decent sized but their prices are great. The 3 of us - with drinks, salads and an appetizers spent $30. Not bad if you ask this city gal! It's a great little stop! Check it out! Finding ourselves in the Allegheny National Forest introduced us to the town of Kane, PA. Within this community is a really good restaurant called the Texas Hot Lunch 4-Sons an eatery that has been passed down multiple generations and serves up some of the best breakfasts all at an incredible value. Three of us at breakfast form $18! Incredible service, great pancakes, omelets (gyro omelet), french toast, etc. This place was so good, we went back the next morning for more.
