On a return visit about a week later, I ordered a combination plate with the Chile relleno , verde burrito, rice and refried beans. I liked everything, but it was a little on the mild side. I'm not a person who enjoys a lot of hot spice (truth: I am a wimp in that department) So if you enjoy spicy you'll have to add some sauce. And a friend told me that if you'd like spicy, you should see if they have green sauce that day. I will stop here again the next time I come through town.

Our waitress informed us it was Asian week. I told her, when I made our reservations, that I should have been informed that it was Asian week. I told her that that had I known, I would have requested reservations for American week menus. She agreed. Instead of leaving we opted to have the Mongolian beef. It was good but not what were looking forward to. To our waitresses credit she gave us a free dessert but that doesn't make up for the disappointment my wife and I experienced re her birthday dinner. What can I say? A classic small town diner and one of the only places (if not the only place)…read morewithin miles. There's a cast of regulars whose orders are already in process or waiting for them as they walk in, and it's a healthy walk-in business, too, if my time here was any indication. The best part of the experience for me is eavesdropping on the regulars who talk trash to the other regulars, flirt with the employees, and display the general camaraderie you'd expect in a small town where everyone knows everyone else. It was like a grilled cheese sandwich made with eggs instead of bread. The hashbrowns had some nice crispy pieces, but were otherwise ordinary. Little Montana has an open archway connecting to the convenience store next door -- making it handy for grabbing snacks after your meal before moving on to your next destination. It's nice place to take a break from your travels or hunting expeditions of any kind.
