I don't think I finished my meal and just threw out both dishes in the poubelle :( I was very hesitant to write a review but then I reminded myself that honesty is the best policy and people should know the truth always.. Probably the best smash burger that I have ever come across!…read more L'Hamburger is a burger joint with lots of charm! We stopped by for a quick bite to eat, and we were not disappointed. It was rather quiet as we were the only other ones there, but it is smaller place with not much seating. The employee was super nice, and offered to bring our food over to the table. It was piping hot and fresh! Burgers had soft, pillowy buns and those crispy edges - the best part of a smash burger. The poutine was one of the top 5 poutines I've ever had. The fries were still crispy despite being soaked in gravy. AND THE GRAVY - absolutely delicious! I would definitely order it next time with an extra patty, since smash patties are thinner than your typical burger patty. Absolutely amazing place for smash burgers in Montreal!

We tried the Lyonnais, which contains Philly steak, cheese and a béchamel-like cream sauce. The wrap was pressed down and gently grilled until it was crispy, with the cheese melting in the middle. Really, really satisfying comfort food. The meat was quite chunky and uneven in size for "Philly" steak, but the taste was excellent. The other options on the menu were also pretty enticing - maybe next time! We also got one of their "Delicato Dulce de leche", which is a little cup with a bottom of crushed graham crackers and layers of alternating whipped cream and dulce de leche. It was pretty good, especially with the caramely taste of the graham crackers. There's a lot of seats in the dining room, which extends to the back, past the drink fountain. Wooden panels between seats give some privacy.
