If you prefer ham over German sausage, it's worth asking if they'll accommodate that for the sandwich. One heads-up for parents: we asked if the animal pancakes were comparable in taste and portion to a short stack, since the cost would have been about the same for two kids. We were told they were, but my mom ordered the short stack and you definitely get more pancake, and we all agreed the texture was noticeably better. Stick with the short stack.
