Unfortunately my experience was not a pleasant one at this particular Subway. I eat at a Subway almost everywhere I visit because I expected spectacular food and service like I always get elsewhere. Well, this was not the case on this particular day. Sunday, August 11, a little after 4:00 p.m., a friend and I stopped on our way home. I love the Chicken Pesto with Ciabatta bread. Well, this is what I ordered, but they were out of the bread. First strike, so I chose a different bread. Then I was going to add a drink and chips. I can't have sugar and I don't drink sodas, so ice tea is my drink of choice. Well, they were out of tea and was told they were not making anymore. So, then I proceeded to just get a cup of ice so I could get water. I'm traveling 8 hours home, a small free cup wasn't enough. So, they charged me for the cup. So, I asked her if she could at least give me the cup since they were out of everything I wanted. She didn't even apologize, she just said, "No, that's just how it is around here" Didn't care in the least that my first visit at this store will be my last. I'm sad the owner employs such disrespectful employees for their business. Hopefully Subway can send in an undercover boss to this store. It won't be in business very long with poor customer service and less than enthusiastic employees who don't want to make more tea or more bread. read more

We stopped in one afternoon about 4:15 PM on our way out of town. We planned on splitting two foot-long meatball sandwiches between the four members of our family. Unfortunately they only had enough meatballs for ONE SANDWICH. No plans to make (heat up) any more. So we bought the one sandwich and left. It seems to me that running out of supplies at 4:15 PM on a Friday shows really poor planning on the part of management. The sandwich was good quality. read more

Established in 1965.

The story of Subway started over 50 years ago when Dr. Peter Buck, a nuclear physicist, changed the life of a student with a few simple words, "Let's open a submarine sandwich shop." It was Peter Buck that gave college freshman Fred DeLuca the idea to open a submarine sandwich shop to help pay his tuition. Peter provided an initial investment of $1K, and a business relationship was forged that changed the landscape of the fast food industry. The partners opened their first restaurant in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where they served fresh, affordable, made to order sandwiches. The popularity of the sandwiches and the brand continued to grow but one thing remained, their core values and principles. By 1974, the duo owned and operated 16 submarine sandwich shops in Connecticut. From there, they began franchising, launching the brand into a period of remarkable growth. Today, the SUBWAY® brand is the world's largest submarine sandwich chain with more than 40,000 locations worldwide.
