We drove past this place one afternoon and the wife and I knew we had to eat here. We found street parking and made our way over. From the outside the red neon sign gave a very strong impression. Inside it was a little bit dull but that doesn't matter when you start to read the menu board. All the menu items suggest bold American flavours. Choose your filling, bread (sourdough or rye) and whether you want it fresh or toasted. I was worried about my sandwich being toast until I was told that they'd add the lettuce afterwards to prevent it from wilting. The food came out quick. My wife asked for soy milk in her coffee which they had run out of. However one of the staff went to the corner store, JUST FOR US, to buy a new carton. I was amazed by this. This truly was a selfless act and to me it defined what great customer service is. Our food came out quickly and tasted amazing. I ordered the hoagie sandwich. I know in The States a hoagie is this massive bread roll sandwich thing, but this being Australia they brought out a toasted sandwich which tasted just like a hoagie. Perfect down to the last bite. The staff are great company and extremely friendly. I want... nay, NEED to come back here to try some of the other sandwiches. That aside, the location of this fast food option pre-movies is one of the better choices at Macquarie Park. Meaning one of the few non-Asian options. My partner ordered pretty much the whole menu as you'll see from the pictures and enjoyed the lot of it. I sort of just watched him eat whilst I tch-ed at my burger/sandwich. Oh well, at least it wasn't a rip off and I had some duck fat potatoes to munch on. Won't be making this sacrifice in the near future.

Firstly the downside is that its in Macquarie Centre. Unfortunately this place has grown 'too big' and parking somewhere remotely close and getting in is an effort. That aside its a great little store with seating that overlooks the ice skating rink. Their reuben isn't the traditional corned beef or pastrami but salted beef instead. Can't complain though - still tasted great and they sliced it nice and thickly right in front of me as they made it. Not the cheapest sandwich you'll buy - but they taste great and the servings are huge. I'll definitely be back again!
