The prices were very fair: $25 for the lobster, $15 for the crab, and $4 each for the 8oz chowders (discounted with the purchase of a roll). The seafood is fresh in the rolls and lightly dressed in mayo, which is my personal preference. The focus the is on the flavor of the generous servings of meat. It would have hit the spot to have small bits of celery or a nice piece of lettuce included: that's not a dealbreaker and, next time, I know to bring my own. I was impressed by the quality and toast of the bun, which had great crisp on the outside and chewiness once bitten into. This elevates the experience over a plain, room temperature hotdog bun. I thought the fish chowder was a bit on the salty side, so the classic clam chowder would be my go-to. I was able to sample smoked salmon and smoked rainbow fish pate while waiting for my order. Next time, I may skip the chowder and buy a tub of pate. Unfortunately, I wasn't going to be able to access a refrigerator anytime soon, so I did not buy any then and there. The store itself is small and cozy, so I imagine it gets quite packed at peak times with customers. Thankfully, it was quiet and it was easy to put in my order on a Tuesday afternoon. The staff were young and responsive, and my purchase was smooth. I will stop by again!

They also operate a small lunch/dinner sometimes brunch truck as well. Two locations usually. They have a smaller menu but don't be fooled. Since the menu is smaller they can focus solely on that menu. Focus they do! It's very very good food and a healthy portion of food as well. From the gouda Mac and cheese with fried onions to the absolutely amazing fried chicken sandwich with Maine maple glaze and everything in between... to die for!! They also have the most amazing red potatoes. They fry them up as "smashed spuds" and they're so so good! I go there sometimes just for those ! Inside Mick's there's a bar and you can grab a drink with your food. I can't say it enough, if you haven't already get down there and try this menu. You will not be sorry!! Upon my latest visit I was promptly greater at the deli counter and also received follow up prompts to make sure I had been helped. As always my sandwich was delicious which has never been an issue. I was also able to pick up the few essentials I was lacking in my pantry without having to make a trip all the over to the Hannaford. Once again I am happy this little market has come to Scarborough.
