We've been a customer for 16 long years, anytime we had a problem with Directv, we'd call them up, and it was immediately resolved. There was never any issues about the bill, if we were going to be late, they gave us time without question. DirecTV were very fair people, unlike At&t who are just out to RIP everyone off for as much as they can. At&t are the LOWEST of the low. They don't offer discounts to elderly people, and they are unwilling to help anyone, especially in a pandemic. There was never a long term contract after the initial setup, just month to month. WE HAVE VOWED, to never use directv or at&t ever again. WE STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE WHO HAS AT&T OR DIRECTV, TO DROP THEM FASTER THAN A RABBIT CAN RUN!!!!!!!

Even I asked whether there was contract, the customer service always answered 'there is no contract'. But when I received the bill , the contract was showing. This time I called on 2/6, and talked to Kiynan ID KS982T, I asked to cancel directv. She offered me $25 discount and no contract. I asked couple of times whether there was contract with $25. She said 'no'. Again when I received the bill, there was contract for another year. I called again on 2/8 and 2/9 finally reached the manager. I was told that $25 can be removed, and I can cancel on the old contract date of 4/1/2018. So I called 3/20/2018 to cancel directv, then I was told that att had listened the recording and I agreed that one more year contract. The customer service is Jacob JH0504 had very bad attitude. Such big company has tried to cheated on the customer who had been with att for more than 40 years. Amazing such high tech company can not change small things immediately. You need a WWII Navaho Code Talker to even start to interpret this pile of mumbo-jumbo... which means you're out of luck because I believe most, if not all, of them have passed. Chester Nez, the last known of the original Code Talkers, passed away June 4th, 2014. In my area we are severely limited as to the choices available for TV & Internet services and for what reason I do not know. Brings back memories of why Ma-Bell was blown apart in 1982 for Anti-trust violations by monopolizing their area of service. Where are the Feds when you need them? We have "ONE" choice in cable TV & internet... isn't that considered monopolizing any longer? Sad state of affairs in my opinion and yet we allow them to get away with this travesty.

They left a long cable laying across several yards in our subdivision and, it still isn't buried......internet service constantly "buffers". Their TV service constantly pixilates. Two different times the techs show up finding that the terminal has yet to be ran anywhere close to her house but each time I talked to someone at the Charleston office they showed that it was installed. My mom and feel like we've been lied to multiple times. Here's the MO..."your installation is scheduled for this date between 1-5..she receives a text that morning saying "your tech will arrive between your scheduled time"...my mom waits the entire time(1-5) and no one shows and then she gets a text stating "sorry we missed you, you will need to reschedule ". Now my sister has been trying to get answers from your company with no solution. On top of this...her current internet only works about 25%of the time. My mom, is 86, taking care of a 11yo which needs reliable internet for school. This process has been absolutely ridiculous!! I would be embarrassed to be apart of this company! Your quality of service and customer service is the worst I've ever witnessed.
