Likely everyone is trying to make this brewery work, but an observation from Monday night is not the way to start. One bartender working 6pm on their Monday night $5 pizza night. Doesn't work and shows poor management. They beg people with $5 pizza's and it takes 80 mins+ and beer line didn't thin out with one bartender. Never had a chance to order a pizza, but finally did get a grawler filled. Check picture for what the grawler cap looked like. Chunks of mold or something came off. Very underwhelming. Could you at least add a supervisor to your high school staff or show them how to turn tickets? Waiting over an hour for a couple of mediocre pizzas on a Monday eve is grounds for termination. I got up for our 4th round while checking on the pizza! And we were drinking slow, like monday slow. tldr: Friendly open air place needs better beer selection. General: Open air place with good ventilation but can still get a bit warm. Friendly atmosphere and good for dogs. No cash accepted which is fine but I'm not a fan of high suggested tips especially when one must use a card. Beer: Not a lot of tasty selection at the moment. The Azacca had a novel sweet taste and the Moxey was the best but nothing special. I purchased 4 tasters for $14, regular pints are $6.50. Food: We didn't get pizza but would definitely come back for $5 Mondays. I struggled with this rating because I really want to see this brewery do well. Everyone is really nice, outgoing and friendly. It's just that currently there are only four beer choices, none of which appealed to me and there is no air conditioned room to enjoy your beer in, if they were to have one you liked. Texas summers are just too hot not to have this, plus it seems to me that if you did have it, you would stay longer and drink more beer. If they would have had a hefeweizen I would have given it 4 stars. read more

This small brewing company is a real gem! The folks here are friendly and happy to chat about the brews. They have a convenient way to order and pay by phone. Tables are spaced far apart (covid precaution). We had The Jugo IPA, a juicy and it was delicious! Many places don't get the hazies right but this one got it down. I have been a home brewer and seeking out the craft brewers since they started showing in the '80s. Even Dr. Oz had an episode on the health benefits of craft beer. Yes, health benefits (in moderation, of course) of craft beer when compared to who knows what is in the alcoholic kool aid of the mega-brewers. I started going early in 2018 when my wife discovered the signage along 290. The selections were limited then, but it was explained they are adding more as soon as they can when they meet their expectations. The place has always been very friendly and laid-back. Since those early days, Hop'd Up Pizza has moved in with their full-service kitchen, big screen TVs, booths, comfy chairs, games, and more outstanding beers have been added. I think there is an air-conditioned room, too. Joel and Greg are always the most cordial, making you feel you have made their day by coming. All the patrons, and many new faces every time I go there, all appear to be enjoying the experience. It is great having them in the Dripping Springs area, which is blessed with a growing number of great breweries, distilleries, and wineries. I definitely plan to be back regularly, now that I joined their club. read more

Neither me nor my husband liked it. It says Family Friendly, but it wasn't tonight. They need to have a warning on the door because there a few families that came in with small children. To be honest not the best beer I have ever had, however it was not crowded on a Sunday afternoon, affordable flights, and my husband and I felt very comfortable here, which are both bonuses. There was an art class that looked fun, several TVs but the best were the games, those were a blast! Very dog friendly and a play room for kiddos. The Stromboli ordered at Hop'd up pizza was superb. We would return. Some feedback, wanted to purchase beer to go for my parents for dinner, there were 2 options of Suds beer available (lots of the Argus) and no price. Great little brewery and worth the ride from the ATX area. We loved their funky monkey IPA, cheeky monkey summer ale, and their classic amber. Bring your hounds and kids and enjoy the chill environment. On Saturday there was a food truck, live music, and plenty of games to keep you occupied as you enjoy some righteous brews. Have questions the knowledgeable and friendly bartenders will provide tastings. I do have a suggestion. It's hot guys how about adding a few additional fans. If you are a brew snob I suggest you plan a trip out to the Dripping area and do a tour as there are some excellent breweries in the area with Suds Monkey leading the pack. read more

The beer and pizza from Hop'd Up Pizza are both very good. The pizza crust is thin and good. The sauce is tasty and they have real cheese! We had a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and 2 Pilsner beers. They have a great beer selection. They have specialty pizzas or you can choose your own toppings. The establishment is no frills, so very laid back. It reminds me of an airplane hanger. They have a variety of board games you can play and 4 TVs to watch sports. They also have an outdoor beer garden and a children's play area inside. I will definitely return! Beer + Pizza= a great time. Came here with family to celebrate my birthday weekend. Very glad we stopped by! I really liked Astro Monkey and the beertender was very accommodating when I asked for a Tajin rim (yassssssss!) They actually have a plethora of chamoy/chili in front of the register, so that was a HUGE plus for me :) Clean and large indoor facility, plus a cute and shaded outdoor area (with a swing!). There's also a playroom, which is not something you would normally see in a brewery. Pizza also located inside the brewery and it was really good. Tons of games (cards, dominoes, etc.) you can play for free as well as a free arcade gaming system. Would definitely recommend stopping by. read more
