Fantastic pizza and the nicest people in the world! The crust is delicious and the ingredients are fresh. Will be back...from San Antonio. Worth it!

Pepperoni and Mushroom Medium Pizza

We have been craving pizza but not anything like dominos or Pizza Hut, so we decided to give Grandslam a go! The staff is super friendly, and welcoming. We placed a phone order and then went to pick up. The inside is a little dark, and cafeteria style but makes sense per their buffet option. You can enter in through the front parking lot and back parking lot, super convenient. The ranch to go was self serve and suuuuper thick. It's kind of like the ranch you can buy from the store, I don't believe it's made in house....so that was a bummer. The pizza was good, just not great. We may or may not order again. Overall love that there is a local buffet pizza place!!

The food was bussin super good. the service was great very nice people. The ambiance is super good it feels great. Also there is a lot of games to play on here. Highly recommended.

The pizza is pretty good. Not the best I've had but good enough for 4 stars. One of the better pizza places I've had in the dripping springs area.

Ordered delivery! it was prompt and the pizza was Hot and Delicious! We ordered an Extra Cheese, Pepperoni & Sausage and a Veggie pizza. Both were delicious not too doughy and plenty of cheese! This will be our new go to spot.

Pizza Buffet

I reported on Grandslam back in 2009 and gave it three stars. The owners are nice; pizza isn't too bad. Back then they made a few pies during the lunch buffet and it was enough to feed the masses. That would be said masses then; unfortunately not in 2017. Several visits to detail; explaining the major issues they now have. Their business model remains the same and hasn't changed with our growing town. Now days the place is packed and they slowly churn out the same amount of pizza circa years ago. Taken from the old review: They make it chart style sections a 1/4th at a time. Pies come out of the oven with pepperoni, burger, veggie, and Hawaiian in one large pizza. We've been in the dinner buffet several times just after swimming lessons and other activities. We were able to grab a couple of slices in the beginning; then were basically cut off. Lemme explain here; imagine there is about 10 high school kids seated nearby basically cleaning out every pie that hits the buffet. I think the owner and his wife get mad and attempt to cut them off. Pizza production at that time slows to a crawl which leaves my son sitting at the table with nothing. One pizza hits the empty buffet and it's a mad dash to grab something before it's gone. The wait beings again for the next one. They have one central oven which now days should be at least a conveyor style set up. Mr. Lee and his wife are Korean; here is my message: ; . . i seonsaengnim; dangsin-eun hyeonjaeui pija saengsan-i dangsin-i gajigoissneun gogaeg-ui yang-eul meog-iji anhgi ttaemun-e sa-eob-eul ilh-eo beolyeossseubnida. neoui sigdang-eul neomu joh-ahaneun uli aileul silmangsikinda.

Immediately, upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who was very warm and friendly. They had detroit style or NY style pizzas with a decent amount of options. My friends got the NY style supreme and we got the the detroit style NY Omygosh its good style pizza which was essentially pepperoni and ricotta, which are a nice combo of mine and my wife's favorite toppings. Both pizzas were fantastic and different and delicious in their own way. We used their flat iron seasonings which we were all geeking out over while waiting for our pizzas. They were really good and a nice compliment to the pizza and I thought it was cool the owner had a partnership to sell those along with some hot honey too. The owner checked on us several times and probably was the most engaging owner I've met at any restaurant. For drinks, they had craft sodas in their fountain machine and I got the Dr pepper version which was tasty. Pickup seems to be the most efficient approach with not a ton of tables and no public restrooms.

My husband ordered the Pepperoni Pizza and I ordered the Fat Queen. The Pepperoni Pizza was good. The Pepperonis were small and tasty. The Fat Queen was just as good. It comes with Pepperoni, Soppressata, and Italian Sausage. I really liked the flavor of all of the meat in the marinara sauce plus the pizza crust is light and fluffy. Overall Pieous is a great place to get some good pizza. The service and pizza were good. I suggest going at an off time that isn't the typical lunch or dinner time.

Make note of their hours as well because they are closed in middle of day. 4-8pm I'm the afternoon does not give a big window to choose your dining time. But the restaurant checks all the boxes. Great ambience. Fun indoor and outdoor seating. Tasty food. Big outdoor space for little ones to play. Convenient location. Decent pricing. The salads are served on big trays which makes sharing easy (even when I didn't really want to share my yummy tossed salad with toasted garbanzo beans and Chunks of fresh mozzarella and a super yummy dressing. The pasta and pizza tasted really good. From an owner of a few pizza places in Houston, I was disappointed in the crispness of the dough. I don't care for pizza that can hold its shape when being held. But if I just told myself it was bread instead- I enjoyed it. It was really the pasta and salad for me. We didn't try too much because we were actually surprised it was open. Many friends mentioned the desserts were to die for. Even Guy on DDD mentioned the caramel rolls were what cinnamon rolls wish they could be. He also LOVED the pastrami sandwiches. So I'd i could do a 1-10 scale I'd give it a 9 for the extra work we had to put in to align with their limited open hours and for the soggy crust. But highest marks on the rest. They also have a room you can rent out in the back or the restaurant and good parking. Next time you want pie- Give pieous a try

We ordered family sized garlic knots and a large BBQ Pie with Chicken. It comes with meat, onions, and BBQ sauce. The Garlic Knots were delicious. They were soft, warm, and full of garlic flavor. The BBQ Pie was good. The crust holding the ingredients was thin and the exterior crust was a little thicker while being light and fluffy. The chicken on the pizza was plentiful and in large pieces spread out on the pizza. The onions were long and thin like strings of onions. They were also spread out on the pizza but I really couldn't taste the flavor of the onions. The BBQ sauce was different. We walked through the parking lot and on the path to the pizza and bar area. We past a large field that had a playscape and noticed that there was also a path that leads to a goat experience. Then we went and found a place to sit. The dining area is huge with plenty of places to sit. There were also several water refill stations which is great. Someone eventually called our name and my husband picked up our order. My husband ordered an iced hibiscus mint tea to try. He liked it. I tried it and the hibiscus flavor was a little too strong for me. We decided to share two pizzas. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and the pickle pizza. The pepperoni pizza was good. The crust was light and airy and the pepperoni had flavor. The pickle pizza was delicious. I've never had anything like it. The pizza crust was light and the pizza was flavorful. On a side note the bathroom that I experienced was in an airstream trailer and they were clean. They had other bathrooms onsite but I didn't see them. Overall Jester King Brewery was a very cool place to stop. The open field, playscape, and different experiences are great for families. The service was friendly and the bathrooms were clean.
