I was dreading the…read moreday that we had to drop our son off at daycare, but within even a week's time, I knew that he was in the right place. For starters, the facility is clean and inviting, but the staff and teachers make this place go round. Jade and Tarika are incredible directors. They are always available for a chat - about both good things and concerns - and take the time to get to know each child. They are also extremely vigilant about when a child might be sick, which I appreciate. Additionally, they are responsive via email. I know that if I have a quick question, they are ready, willing and able to help. Lastly, our son loves his teacher, Miss Gia! He has never cried once when we drop him off and a huge smile comes onto his face when we walk into his room! The kids are kept busy (we love the art projects that come home!) and are cared for well. All of the teachers there have really impressed me. Now really the last thing - there's an app that we follow along with each day. It logs everything that is going on with our child, which for a parent, is a god-send. And there are cute pictures sent throughout the day. It's so encouraging to see a smile on our son's face throughout the day. Can't thank Jade, Tarika and the team enough for their professionalism and care!

We interviewed and toured a ton of daycares in the lower Westchester area and none offered the value and security we found with Amanda and her team. They showed my son so much love and was so patient and supportive of me, understanding the feelings new parents have leaving their children for the first time. Our son is now two and loves his daycare family. He comes home talking about playing with his friends and the activities daily. I can not express enough how reasuring it is to be in constant communication with your caregivers. This team truly goes above and beyond to support the whole child and their families. I would 100% bring any child to them with confidence that they will be safe, nurtured, and in a child friendly learning environment.

I go there…read moreevery 2 days to swim a mile, and although their schedule leaves something to be desired (lap swim usually ends at 8:45 AM, inconvenient for me, and on Sunday mornings, you only get an hour to swim laps in the morning, not quite enough for senior citizens like me, who need 63 minutes), the personnel are now friendly. I don't know about their other offerings, as I do other forms or exercise at home and outdoors, but I hope be able to continue to get swim in without any problems. They're much better than nearby 24-Hour Fitness, which has degenerated greatly since I joined them.

We then decided to go on wensday the kids didn't have school so we decided to go swim. We thought It was going to be the same lifeguards however they were different. There was a girl lifeguard in her 20's keep that in mind for now. we stepped in the pool area na seat down at the stands and got ready to get in. Two women came up to us and asked if one of us were 14 YEARS OLD one of my kids were 14 and he said yes then she switched the ages immediately like she didn't say 14 years old at all and instead switched it to 18 YEARS OLD this shows how she was trying to manipulate us to leave the pool area as if we were different from the others. she eventually was talking to her manager; my oldest kid 14 year old walked up to the pool to dip in in his which the lifeguard comes up to him and asked how old he was. he said 14 and she said your good to go by HIMSELF even though the other two women said that u must be 18 YEARS OLD to entwe by your self. She eventually comes back from talking to The manger and tell one of my kids to remove a swimming item that was provided for everyone but some how not for us. she eve called someone to lock the cage. We heard her whisper to him that whenever they come to This pool we lock the cage. By the way in the weekend we always used this item but now all of the sudden we can't which doesn't make sense. Overall this gives off a racist attitude from this ymca and definitely would not recommend this place.

We are so thankful we made the choice to send her to NRDN. From the start, our daughter always told us how much she loved it there and how much she loved her teachers and her friends from class. In Ms. Allison and Ms. Shante's class, her social-emotional learning and academic development were nurtured in a way that produced results that we could see at home. They are both truly gifted educators and foster a Pre-K environment that teaches students how to be part of a team, while thriving as individuals. In 3-K, our daughter attended Ms. Twana and Ms. Silvana's class. She had an amazing time, learned so much, and we were so impressed with what she accomplished. She built such a strong foundation. The admin team that runs the facility, Ms. Sabrina, Ms. Dawn, and Ms. Karin are excellent and it is apparent that they take great care in the service they provide to their students and families. As our daughter heads to kindergarten, we are more at ease because we know she is prepared. NRDN has had a large hand in that. It is a special place, staffed with wonderful educators and staff.

They also developed great foundational skills, learning their alphabet, letter sound relationships, counting and some Spanish and sign language. It was also great knowing that lunch and snacks were taken care of and that our kids were trying new foods.
