For starters, the facility is clean and inviting, but the staff and teachers make this place go round. Jade and Tarika are incredible directors. They are always available for a chat - about both good things and concerns - and take the time to get to know each child. They are also extremely vigilant about when a child might be sick, which I appreciate. Additionally, they are responsive via email. I know that if I have a quick question, they are ready, willing and able to help. Lastly, our son loves his teacher, Miss Gia! He has never cried once when we drop him off and a huge smile comes onto his face when we walk into his room! The kids are kept busy (we love the art projects that come home!) and are cared for well. All of the teachers there have really impressed me. Now really the last thing - there's an app that we follow along with each day. It logs everything that is going on with our child, which for a parent, is a god-send. And there are cute pictures sent throughout the day. We are so thankful we made the choice to send her to NRDN. From the start, our daughter always told us how much she loved it there and how much she loved her teachers and her friends from class. In Ms. Allison and Ms. Shante's class, her social-emotional learning and academic development were nurtured in a way that produced results that we could see at home. They are both truly gifted educators and foster a Pre-K environment that teaches students how to be part of a team, while thriving as individuals. In 3-K, our daughter attended Ms. Twana and Ms. Silvana's class. She had an amazing time, learned so much, and we were so impressed with what she accomplished. She built such a strong foundation. The admin team that runs the facility, Ms. Sabrina, Ms. Dawn, and Ms. Karin are excellent and it is apparent that they take great care in the service they provide to their students and families. As our daughter heads to kindergarten, we are more at ease because we know she is prepared. NRDN has had a large hand in that. It is a special place, staffed with wonderful educators and staff.

As working parents, we were eager to find the best care for her during the day. (Due to Covid, finding in-home care was challenging, so we had to look for daycares.) After extensive research- we enrolled our daughter here and could not be more pleased that we did! The hours are amazing and flexible. The teachers are an absolute joy and it is obvious how much they love each child. We get pictures throughout the day, and they also let us know which skills they are focusing on during their daily activities. We have an app that allows us to communicate with the teachers. This is where we can request they focus on a specific developmental need (more tummy time, etc), and inform them of anything they should be aware of (like teething or a rough night sleeping). No matter what time of day we pick our daughter up, we always are thrilled with what we see when we peek through the door. It is also great seeing every teacher in the school greet our daughter by name even if she is not in their classroom specifically.

At pick-up time, teachers would always take a minute to talk about how the day went. Everyone is so kind. The large parking lot is a bonus. There's no stressing about traffic or double-parking at the start or end of the day. We took our daughter out after five months but only because of lots of family engagements that would've kept her out anyway. We wouldn't hesitate to go back in the future.

In the end, it not only wasted our time and thousands of dollars, but most distressing, we got stuck with a nanny who made us and our daughter deeply unhappy for several months. My husband and I were trying to secure a nanny, and the first that we hired through Family Helpers had misled us on a few critical items. It turned out the nanny did NOT want to work with a newborn, showed up reeking of cigarettes, and was mean to our daughter. We asked Family Helpers to send us more candidates. Family Helpers repeatedly sent us candidates who could not meet our scheduling or budget needs. In short: * Family Helpers' vetting failed as it sent us a nanny unwilling to work with 2 kids * Family Helpers' vetting failed as it sent us a candidate unwilling to work within our discussed budget (i.e., less than $25/hour) * FamilyHelpers' vetting failed as it sent us a candidate unwilling to work the hours that we stated we were looking for * FamilyHelpers' vetting failed as it recommended a nanny who could not detect something was off when our daughter, who she had gotten to know over 8 weeks, lay on the couch for hours with a very high fever. Additionally, we were frustrated at Family Helper's guidance to increase our budget to $25/hr, which is 25%-33% more than peers using Family Helpers service, what several strong candidates we evaluated were willing to accept, or what we see online. Even more hurtful, Family Helpers blamed us for not being clear about the hours / pay, even when faced with email evidence to the contrary. After weeks and weeks of no good candidates, Family Helpers audaciously recommended we simply fire the current (bad) nanny, with no coverage at all. I was flabbergasted--what kind of plan was this, for two working parents? In the end, we found a few wonderful nannies through friends. My husband and I requested a substantial refund given Family Helpers failed to send vetted candidates that met our criteria and we paid $1,600 severance to one of their nannies, but Family Helpers refused. Family Helpers refunded us 50% of our fee, whereas we thought 95% would have been appropriate. I am a big supporter of local businesses, but I am a bigger advocate for the parents and families in my community. It is for this reason I share our recent experience with Family Helpers.

We were informed that Susan was available and reliable as a resource .... we found this to be untrue. Susan was always out of the office and the information she shared with us and the referrals was incongruous. Her nannies were extremely inexperienced and they were requesting a salary comensurate with an experienced well trained nanny. I would never recommend Family Helpers to help find someone to care for the most treasured people in the world to us, our children. In addition, Susan charges a consultation fee and their consultation services were a falasy!! Everything Susan said during her limited "consultation" did not match the qualities the nannies portrayed or the expectations the nannies had during the interview!! Run as fast as you can!!!

I can't say enough good things about this daycare. My twins have been at Rodi since they were 20…read moremonths old and we all love it. It is a very loving, nurturing environment. The teachers are well trained, very caring and warm. They truly love the children and it shows. My twins love going to "school" everyday. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and my children have learned so much. I love that the children go outside almost everyday, which I think is very important. I get daily emails that keep my up to date on my children's daily and weekly activities. This daycare feels like a family and I have never once worried about my children while at Rodi. I looked at a lot of daycare centers for my younger child recently and NONE compare to the amazing care that my twins get at Rodi. I highly recommend Rodi Daycare.

They did not compensate their employees for the time that they put into the daycare. That is not a fair business!
