Immaculate, welcoming and masks are required in common areas. Much effort is reflected in the smooth & clean operation!

This gym needs a manager who can keep the maintenance crew on a 30 min check point in the locker…read morerooms, and gym floor, especially during peak hours. Daily cleans, weekly deep cleaning. With inspections!!! Having a clean facility could get 5 stars. Isn't that a corporate goal? Have a manager and staff routinely monitor the gym floor. Encourage members to lock away their personal items. Have loaner locks to encourage them. Make an orientation mandatory for new members so they can hear directly about gym etiquette and equipment use. If the staff has something to do, they won't have time to play games at the desk or on cellphone. Tag guests with a wrist band so that they can be noticed by floor staff and assisted on equipment. I see people constantly misusing equipment. The desk isn't positioned to check people in, I see multiple people just walking in and not scanning. Non members, vagrants, etc. there's no protocol for safety or management for overcrowding.

I've never left a review before, but this gym has pushed me to my limit. The list of issues is…read moreendless. The air conditioning was broken for months this past summer -- forcing members, many of whom are minorities, to work out in unsafe heat. The facility is filthy, machines are constantly broken, and the saunas and pool were actually shut down by the health commissioner (yes, you read that right). The leg press has been broken for months, weights are scattered everywhere, and half the benches are ripped apart. The squat rack is always missing plates, and sometimes you can't even find a 10 lb weight. Every machine feels like it's about to fall apart. I tried to stick it out, but you can't even have a decent workout here -- it's impossible to track progress when everything's broken or missing. I finally canceled my membership. This gym is an embarrassment and should be inspected immediately.

Took a weekday afternoon tour recently…read more The front desk lady welcomed me cordially. To which I then asked if it would be possible to tour the gym. Within moments a young gentleman came to assist. During the tour I witnessed clean areas, with what I'd say were diehard gym members maintaining their fitness goals by either pumping iron, running on the treadmills, stretching in the group fitness room or swimming laps in the lap pool. Quite motivating. The young gentleman who gave me the tour walked me up, down several stairs and throughout all accessible areas of the gym. He was thorough and answered all of my questions without being pushy. The Pool area looked really appealing and the Ladies Locker room looked neat and well kept. The one thing lacking for me was a squash/racquetball court. I know this is not a popular take for all, but I think indoor courts could have been considered in the plans as the Waters Place area is a sprawling piece of land which could've easily accommodated at least two courts in the build. Another plus in having indoor courts is the accessibility during the colder months. Also at this stage, a racquetball court could have been converted into at least one Pickleball Court...definitely a missed opportunity. In my opinion, Owners/Contractors fail to realize that Bronxites are avid racquet sports players too. Imagine getting a great indoor court workout, and then an option to take a few laps in the pool, conveniently located within your area instead of having to trek across the bridge to another LA Fitness that has this amenity. When joining a gym you'd want these conveniences factored in to encourage you to visit as often as possible. Unsure of their membership fees, but at a glance a nice looking gym. Outdoor parking was available during the time I visited. And an indoor garage is also available. 3.5 Stars

I dedicated six months to this gym and worked with an amazing trainer Manchester. Unfortunately,…read moredespite the positive experience with my trainer, I have to give this gym one star due to its lack of consideration and what feels like a focus on money over members. I found out I was pregnant and was not medically cleared by my doctor to continue working out. I immediately notified the gym and placed my membership on hold. Somehow, the hold was removed without my knowledge. As I approach my due date, I called to permanently cancel my membership and asked if the four personal training sessions I already paid for could be transferred to another Crunch location since I moved. I was told they could not be transferred and that the sessions would expire before I am medically cleared to return. Which makes no sense as I cannot force myself to workout. The only solution they offered was to purchase an additional month of personal training to prevent the sessions from expiring -- essentially requiring me to spend more money for time I won't even be able to use. This experience has been extremely disappointing and feels unfair, especially given the circumstances.

There is enough space, but nope, they need to come as close as possible to i guess provoke some kind of confrontation. Every single day is the same! I have already spoke to management about this. Is dangerous, plain and simple, what if i drop my weights or they on me? If they are working out in a space first i always stay away, but this is never the case. Oh lets not forget the fact that very few of them repack their weights after they finish with a client.
