It was a traumatizing disappointment to say the least, for both me and my dog Molly. When we arrived for our appointment for a nail trim, Molly was rushed onto a raised platform for the trim. The owners didn't even talk to her or greet her or ask for her name, no treats, nothing to calm her down. When I booked the appointment I didn't realize that they were going to have me be involved, as with past pet grooming places the professionals handle the entire operation and then let you know when it's done. While I was helping to hold her down, she was shrieking in terror as the owner cut her nails. Molly literally screamed out about 3-4 times, it was awful to watch. Past places like PetSmart trimmed and buffed the nails and then gave Molly treats for doing a great job. Shear Elegance only trimmed the nails and sent her on her way, no treat. The plus side was that it only cost $5 but be warned that they only accept cash and don't accept credit cards or any other form of payment. Molly couldn't wait to get out of there... after I paid she was pulling me out the door terrified with her tail between her legs. I really had high expectations based on the reviews and really like to support local businesses, but I think I'll stick to PetSmart where they will clean her ears, trim and buff her nails, and give her treats to calm her down for $20. I'm hoping this experience won't scare her going forward for future nail appointments.

She claimed the high price was because she hand blow dries instead of cage drying, but every reputable groomer we've used also blow dries, this is standard, not an upgrade. She washed him, blow dried, clipped nails, and did a light trim, not a full haircut. Her only justification was his size, even though she knew beforehand he was a Great Pyrenees and advertised experience with the breed. She also claimed she charged more to get him done faster, even though I explained he usually takes about 4 hours, and the most I've ever paid elsewhere was $275 (already very expensive). For comparison, mobile grooming has only cost me $200 and that includes the convenience of coming to my home. On top of the price gouging, when I checked him at home he had a soiled rear meaning either he defecated there and they sent him home dirty, or they didn't wash him properly. Both are unacceptable for a grooming service. This was price gouging and poor care. I cannot trust this business, and I strongly advise large-breed owners to look elsewhere.

He was recently neutered and had complications which required him to wear a cone longer then usual. He's also a digger which doesn't help. Prior to his neuter, I had scheduled two grooming appointments knowing how hard it is to get scheduled with a good groomer. The appt. was cancelled because of the neuter. Kayce was pretty badly matted and luckily I found Zoomin Groomin and they sent Elicia out within a few days. Elicia made Kayce look like a Tuxedo dog. I don't mean a few loose hairs--simply petting her head left my hand covered in fur because she was still wet. I texted the groomer immediately and asked if she could finish drying and deshedding her after working on my second dog. Instead of addressing my concern, I was initially sent a photo of the hair that came off in the tub. She did take my dog back to continue drying and deshedding, but the end result was still disappointing. I also paid for a bath, haircut, groom, and deshedding treatment for my second dog. Unfortunately, the haircut was below expectations, and both dogs' nails were left noticeably long. They appeared to have only been lightly ground and were still square instead of being properly trimmed and rounded. The total came to $425, and I was also charged additional fees for extra brushing and extra care, making the service feel extremely overpriced. To make matters worse, both dogs are still shedding heavily despite both receiving and being charged for deshedding treatments. I specifically chose a mobile groomer because one of my dogs has anxiety and was willing to pay a premium for convenience and quality. Unfortunately, I did not receive the level of service I paid for. I left with two dogs that were still shedding excessively, nails that were not properly finished, and a haircut that did not meet expectations. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this service. After posting my review and contacting support, management responded very quickly. They acknowledged that the additional charges should have been explained and agreed that my dog should not have been returned still wet. They adjusted my invoice to address my concerns. I am still disappointed with the quality of the original grooming, especially the deshedding service, my dog's nails, and the unexpected charges. However, I appreciate that my concerns were addressed promptly and that a resolution was reached. I hope my next experience reflects the level of service I expected the first time.

Our Zoey cries with excitement in the car and literally RUNS into the shop to greet Jen! Little chihuahua mix Toby is a grumpy dog and can be a terror - but Jen grooms him with ease. She attends to details as requested and is very reasonably priced. She does one customer at a time - so there are no other dogs there to worry yours. Her shop is clean, and safe.
