Complete disappointment in the overall grooming. For starters, my dog tends to have some issues when it comes to grooming but always make sure the groomers are fully aware of what gets under his skin. When I first arrived, she didn't even get my name correct. It's Ashley and she kept calling me Emily. I was a little nervous about leaving my dog because while we were talking, she put her hat on and had a RAZOR inside of her hat. She played it off but I felt comfortable once i saw other people bring their dogs.. She asked what I wanted and I showed her pictures of what I did and didn't want. She said with all certity she would have no issues grooming him this way. When going over what the package included .. she informed me she was going to shave his privates. I asked her not to do so because my dog has very little hair down there. She picked up my dog and said "mommy doesn't want you shaved. I gotta remember that or I'll just shave". She said she was going to work on him until 11.30. Around 12 I get a text from the lady saying he was done. I texted back saying I would be around 20-25 minutes because I was leaving work to get there. She responded "no problem". I walked into the groomers and my dog was on the table. I asked why, thinking he was done over 30 minute ago and that's why she texted me. She responded with "I forgot to get the mats behind his ears. He bit me". I am under the impression that YOU are supposed to be grooming my dog and not remembering 30 minutes later that you "forgot" to get the matts. Clearly you didn't do a good job combing him in the first place or you would have found them. My dog was already put away and you brought him out again to keep working on him. At this point my dog is under the impression that you are done grooming him. He doesn't have a lot of patience as it is and I warned her about that. Before setting up my appointment I asked for pricing. She told me for small Pomeranian under 10 pounds it will be 40-60 dollars. When I arrive to pick him up, she said he was a medium sized dog and it would be min 60 and that was a favor because of his behavior. His haircut is the poorest, choppest job someone did with their eyes closed. Pictures can't show how messed up his fur is. I dropped him off expecting to have a clean bathed dog. Instead my dog had mats that had not been cut as asked, and a dirty face. Upset at the overall haircut and poor bathing job, I paid the 60 dollars and decided I was never going back. If it was a matter of my dog having a behavior issues I informed her to call me or stop. I would never expect someone to endanger themselves or my dog for a hair cut. As a professional .. if you think my dog had anxiety, you would recommend we take care of that or inform me when I picked him up.. Not just take a last jab at me cause you didn't like my post. I don't know how else to be more transparent about my dog than telling you before hand the issue other groomers had addressed to me. Never before had taking him to the groomers been such an ordeal. I take 100 percent ownership with my pup and if someone had brought it to my attention that he needed medication I would have taken him to the vet. Looking at my bank account today, she didn't charge me the correct amount (If there were fees associated with the credit card charge, let the customer know) I'm so upset and will be filing a claim with my bank if the incorrect amount posts to my account. I also really appreciate getting text messages from her after my review (attached). Will wait for my refund and take her up on her advice to see another groomer. read more
