I took in a subwoofer for repair because they have a radio ad that said they were one of the few people that troubleshoot to the component level. Their policy is for you to pay about 100 dollars upfront for the technician to troubleshoot and pay for his time in case the cost of repair is too high and you don't follow through. In my case it came to about 400 and they apply the $100 towards it if you have it repaired. He initially powered it up and found it acting up like it did for me so he went to work and found parts out of spec and replaced them he called me I picked it up got it home and it was no better. So I called him he said bring it back so I did and he found more parts out of spec. He only charged me for parts this time.He then said he played it half a day with no problems which I thought was great because the most it would play before was a few minutes. So I brought it home tried it right away same problem. So I called him back the next working day and told him about it and he said there really is nothing else he can fix in there , the rest is in some sort of cage and only can be replaced by the manufacturer and even if they were around it would be cost prohibiting, (this is a twenty year old unit). Since there was nothing else he could fix and I'm in for about 400 dollars now I asked if there's anything else we could work out like credit towards a new unit ( the receipt says it's their policy to repair the unit to prior working condition). Which he now says he can't do. He abruptly said " HELL NO I've got a day and a half in this thing that's not reasonable. In the end he told me to check a couple things before I dispose of it like cables etc. which I did but that wasn't it. At the moment I'm disputing it with the credit card company but they sided with them so far because Seuss told them the technician didn't hear back from me after checking cables but obviously that was a ploy which worked for the moment. They told me in plain terms they went as far as they could.In the end all I wanted was a working subwoofer and not all this grief. read more

I was in your store today between 4:00-5:00 with my 70-year-old sister who has been a Suess Electonic Customer for over 50 years. She wanted to buy a TV. I asked questions and we talked for over 30 minutes. We did not get the TV because the ladies behind the desk we very short and rude to my sister (she wrote her social security number wrong) and the application was under review, and they would not help her correct the error. I said something to my sister about not purchasing the tv because of this. The salesman got upset with me telling him we were going to cancel. He raised his voice to me, pointed his finger in my face and yelled at me (he said Listen to me Lady........ect??? I hope you have cameras in your show room to see what he was like. No woman, No customer, should ever endure that. My sister wanted this tv. and made a simple mistake on the application for financing and the women behind the desk made her feel small and would not explain anything to her? My sister was so shook- up and immediately talked to her husband after we left. He was so disappointed that your company that he always had a good relationship would have an employee's act like that. We both deserve an apology. We will never set foot back in this business again with out it. UPDATE: The salesman has since called and apologized to everyone involved. I took my nearly new looking Sansui Eight receiver one for a basic tune-up and to repair a burned out dial bulb. This receiver is almost 50 years old and always taken care of. When I picked it up there was damage to the wood case and a few bad scratches on the faceplate. I addressed the issue but to this day have received no resolve. I paid almost $300 for service and repair which I'm fine with . What bothers me is they were careless and damaged my receiver. They also don't tell you that they have a tech that takes your equipment to his house in the Freedom area. I'm assuming my receiver was damaged in Transport. I only went here because Sound World was closed at the time due to the pandemic. Lesson learned, I've been going to Sound World for 7 years and never had any equipment damaged by the service department. Horrible customer service, shame on you Suess Electronics. read more

You mention 'Our technicians and salespeople put a tremendous amount of time into troubleshooting customer issues, as often as possible over the phone before a service call is needed.' That is the service we did not receive when we called with our initial problem. No one put 'tremendous amount of time' into troubleshooting our issue. The tech called and scheduled the appointment to come out. And I will mention again that we were the ones to find the issue not your technician. It is my opinion that if any initial troubleshooting had been done. The technician would not have come out. read more

Suess Electronics did an amazing job with installing our cell phone booster and TV Antenna. Our house was especially difficult for the installers due to the double envelope design, which took extra time to maneuver and run wires. The install was more than I was anticipating, but I was still given a generous discount that I greatly appreciate. Everything was neat and professional and we even had a free consultation at our home to discuss what we needed. You guys are fantastic. I have a collection of old vintage audio gear and one of my reel to reels was having some problem called some other places and no one wanted to touch it . Called Suess Electronics and was told to bring it in , Bob form service kept in touch on problems he found and told me what they could do , got it back after only 2 weeks and it never sounded so good. Suess Electronics has assisted us in setting up electronics for our home and lakehouse for a number of years. We just updated our TV and once again had a great experience. I wouldn't necessarily say we are technically challenged but when tying together multiple devises across multiple platforms and multiple locations we're definitely out of our league. Suess makes it happen so we enjoy the conveniences but don't have to sweat the technical installation, set up and maintenance details. Its pricey but worth every penny. read more
