Brian replaced my entire braking system, performed an oil change, thoroughly inspected the vehicle, checked all of my fluids and critical components, and even provided photo documentation so I could see exactly what was done. That level of transparency is incredibly rare. What impressed me even more was his honesty. I was fully expecting a much higher bill based on the quality of the work, but he actually undercharged me. I ended up tipping him because I genuinely felt like I owed him more than what he charged. Brian is humble, down-to-earth, and clearly takes pride in doing things the right way. I decided to stop before possibly damaging something. We scheduled a time for me to come by and when I got there he pulled the truck in, told me that it's just over torqued and did the oil change. We did discussed his pricing and what the quoting process looks like for future services. In all the years, I never had a single issue with H&J. They were mechanics with integrity. The new owner of "J&J" lied to me several times throughout my first experience under his command. When confronted regarding the initial lies, he constructed more lies. Expect him to "find" problems with your vehicle and expect an inflated bill because of it. Do not expect him to have your vehicle ready when he agrees to. Do not expect a courtesy call to inform you that it's not actually ready yet either. Expect no one to answer the phone at the shop for hours after the agreed upon pickup time. Above all, expect him to prioritize his road service over your scheduled appointment and to lie about the reasons your service was delayed. These interactions are difficult to summarize into words. Something you unfortunately understand following a first hand experience. If you want to feel like you were taken advantage of and lied to, this is your guy. The new owner of J&J recently acquired this business. Most of the positive google reviews are older and should be credited to the former owners only. Those guys were worth their weight in gold. His recent positive reviews are clearly orchestrated to offset the incoming negative feedback.
