This hospital was once a dump however now its an amazing hospital. From my experience I was treated with the upmost respect and awesome service . Starting from the emergency room staff. I thought I would be sitting waiting for at least 4 hrs. Its was about 1 hour and I was called in. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling well, but the nurses and Dr took very good care of me. I had pneumonia didnt even know it. I was treated with the upmost care. From transport to food service, imaging reps to blood work reps , nurses on the floor were all great. Southside has improved a lot. I would recommend this hospital for care.

I wasn't aware I needed to take medicine for a stress test. When I called back I was placed on hold for 7 mins. The Receptionist who told me I would still be billed got on the phone & said we never canceled your appointment you did. I said I know that is not my reason for calling back. Would give negative stars if I could. Been going here for…read morethe last 10 months because of excruciating foot pain. For 10 months they tried shots and steroids, and wanted me to try orthotics and shockwave therapy. I agreed to the orthotics because everything else hadn't worked (after wasting time and money going to appointments telling me to come back on two weeks if ____ didn't work). Had a few days where my pain shot up from a 9 to a 15 on the pain scale while waiting for my orthotics and decided to go to a different office. Immediately my new doctor recommended I get an MRI because he was worried I had a tear in my plantar fascia and that my problem was NOT just heel spurs like Dr. Siegel and Berlin had seen on my x-ray. Sure enough, I had a partial tear and after 4 weeks in a walking boot and in PT, I am PAIN FREE!!! All that time and money wasted when they could have sent me for an MRI from the start!! Besides that, the billing/scheduling department here is HORRENDOUS!!!! They are constantly "losing" payments (thank god for bank statements!!) and I've had to cancel the same appointment numerous times because they never cancelled it when I first called!! Also, the older blonde woman in the office is the WORST human on the face of the planet. She has no compassion for people and looks down her nose at patients. She thinks her shit doesn't stink for whatever reason and isn't willing to help with any situation, just leaves it for the poor kids behind the desk. 10 out of 10 do NOT recommend this place. I trusted these doctors to help me, and instead they saw me as an easy meal ticket.
