The restaurant was bright and airy and had both indoor seating as well as some seating just outside. The staff were super friendly, and they let me try a large number of options before picking. I ended up going with coconut lime vegan ice cream, very much like key lime pie. My girlfriend got the birthday cake flavored vegan ice cream. Mine was also delicious-- it had nice pieces of coconut in it, adding extra texture, and MAN was it tasty. My girlfriend's was also super yummy- tasted to me a lot like regular birthday cake ice cream. I confess I Google'd right away to see if this store had a branch near where I live so I could frequent it, but alas, the chain is only here in the Wilmington area. So far. We tried the double cookies and cream (very unique I haven't seen this flavor anywhere before) which looked like light chocolate ice cream with cookies, and a cannoli with hot fudge topping. We both got small cups, which are 2 scoops. It is very rich, and more than enough for us. I will definitely recommend Boombalatti's Carolina Beach. It is in a great location on the way to or from the beaches, and fairly priced for the size and quality you get.

Iced coffee and regular refills are $0.50. The baristas have made an effort for me to know their names, as well and many have helped create a great environment through great conversations. The only note, which many customers would likely agree, is that the aesthetically pleasing menu can be a bit overwhelming at first glance due to the many options. But, once you take it in, you can find what you are looking for to order. If you can't, the baristas will be happy to help make something that is amazing for you. There is also a roll the dice game that helps create a beverage for you, as well. All in all, Grinders is a great place to get caffeinated, socialize with others, and get work done.

I only had a hour in this store before it closed. Not enough time to see everything, yet I had a pleasant time browsing items in this store. The store has a skeleton in a chair greeting you at the entrance and a meerkat as its symbol & mascot. A meerkat is a mongoose from South Africa. The lady at the shop was very kind and gave me a sticker of the shop. I saw on the sticker a meerkat dressed in Victorian clothing. Inside the store is an enchanting tea & coffee bar. After scanning the teas offered in the store to drink today, I wish I had sampled the DRAGON'S HOARD, SMOKY BLACK TEA they had. It has a blend of Black Tea, Lapsang Soushong Tea, Cocoa Nib, Allspice, Cinnamon, Cloves, Carob, Calendula, Cornflower, and Safflower. Lapsang Soushong tea is my favorite tea and has a unique smoky flavor. Very difficult to find and only in specialty high end grocery stores or teahouse places. I purchased two dragon bloodstones for $3 each before the store closed. The store's highlights: A tea & coffee bar with unique tea blends and a sitting area to drink & converse. It was the first time I ever saw and found a bone throwing divination kit for purchase in a store. It had a scan code beside it to learn how to use the bone kit as well. They offered small kits for $9.99 and large kits with an instruction book for $39.99. If you want a ready made divination kit, these are ideal. Most of the items in the store had scan codes to link you with information of the merchandise being sold. The store has an assortment of occult jewelry with Lilith sigils and rare occult symbols. I never see this in a metaphysical store. The bookshelves area has a LBGQT & Sex Magic section. Wild! The sticker with a meerkat - a great idea to give to store patrons and definitely makes the shop visit memorable with this unique memento. They sell and make Snowshoe share teas which are fabulous. I had a summer solstice iced tea made fresh and it was absolutely delicious and so refreshing. I love being able to pick up a high quality tea like this at a local place. Their soaps are great and I enjoyed meeting Juniper who was working there. They have tons of incense, crystals, candles and so many "curiosities" that no one else in town has.

I told her it's wonderful to see a business focused on organic fresh pressed juices! She also makes an assortment of lemonades with different flavors either to your liking or based on what their menu has. They are a full service beverage bar promoting healthy lifestyle! They have fresh organic juices, cold press and otherwise, fruit and vegetable smoothies, herbal teas, frozen drinks, nutritional shakes where you can add protein, etc., as well as wellness shots. The wellness shots can range from apple cider vinegar to cayenne pepper for immunity support.
