The inner hallway units are not too well-lit, but a great price. You can get two smaller units for *cheaper* than a single equivalent-sized outside unit! The high ceilings are also a good feature, so you can get a smaller unit and just super-stack everything to the roof! The place is not climate-controlled, or even 100% weather-proof, but still very good. I covered up my stuff with a tarp just in case, and the tarp just got pretty dusty over the course of a year. Automatic credit card payments are convenient, too.

DO NOT! I had a storage unit here for a number of years. One day I received the strangest email…read morefrom them, something to the effect of... "we noticed there's not a lock on your storage unit, feel free to come and put a lock on it at your earliest convenience." Can you say, "inside job!" Duh, if my unit has had a lock on it for many years, why would I just decide to take the lock off w/out moving my belongings out?!?! I immediately called them and they told me that they had done rounds the Thursday before and the lock was there, so it must've happened over the weekend. Needless to say, the lock was CUT, long gone and OVER HALF of my storage was stolen! I must say, in the days of "rings" "nests" and cheap, easy camera installation, I was utterly shocked to learn that they only have 2 cameras, both from the olden days and both pointed only at the front gate. Are you serious?!? When I called to ask if they could check their cameras and that the police would be coming to fingerprint later that day. The office manager giggled while she asked me, "do you have any enemies." The police found glove prints but no traceable fingerprints. Of course the manager said she couldn't see anything suspicious on the camera footage. I immediately moved the remainder of what was left out of the storage unit without telling Aspen Springs- I wanted to see how long it would take them to notice. Three months passed w/ out a word from them and then I got an email reminder that it was time to pay my next 6 months worth of rent. Clearly, my stuff was stolen months prior to when it was reported to me which would explain why I could not find any of it at the local pawn shops or online. Your belongings will absolutely be stolen if you choose to store them here!!!

What is one supposed to say about a storage unit? It is a boring business. It is not exciting…read more They are not selling you a product that you can take home and wear or eat or admire. I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ.
