I was stranded in town for four days because of car repairs. She was so welcoming and even took me with her while running errands and showed me a bit of this beautiful historic town. She even helped me with dog food for my dog when his food was mistakenly left at the car repair shop. She just epitomizes hospitality. Not only did I enjoy my stay but made a good friend as well. But Roland the owner makes this a great park. It is clean and well maintained. The spots are a bit tight because it was built in the 50's, but they accommodate our 42' MotorHome. He has plenty of overflow parking, and is quiet. There is a stream right across the street where you can do a little fly fishing if you wish. And he has now added ATV rentals! There are 7 side-by side rentals in excellent shape that you can rent to explore the numerous back roads and mountains that surround Anaconda. Rentals are reasonable! You can rent for an hour, half day, or full day if you wish. Stay here a couple of days. You won't be disappointed!

The room is spacious. I like the blackout blinds are fantastic and makes the room nice for sleeping. The continental breakfast is as to be expected from BW, not special. They let you make your own fresh waffles at least. Some maple syrup would make it a bit better. The croissant is doughy and fluffy. Not carb worthy. My husband was happy to discover the wrapped roll was warm and was a breakfast burrito filled with eggs and sausage, he had wished he had discovered it our first morning here. The fruit is a bit off, the cantaloupe more than anything. The water for the tea is not hot and looks dirty and has little black chunks at the bottom of it too. We found out the key doesn't work for our room after 11am, the following day. We had to go back downstairs to get it registered. Kyle at the front counter indicated that Brad didn't register the key long enough. Fantastic. The room is comfortable and quiet, probably because we are in the middle of nowhere. The kitchen or breakfast staff are super warm and friendly, the front staff are just there mostly to check in and our guests and that's about it. The water pressure for the shower is on the soft side and somewhat weak. The Coffee odd very basic on the room. The Anaconda smoke stack park is down the same street as the hotel. You could walk there from the hotel it's that close.

Two cycles and my clothes still had some dampness. The wifi is 0 to 2 bars at our site. It works, but it's slow and choppy at the best of times. It feels overpriced for what is provided. It might explain why the place is half empty in high summer.

Indeed Butte was a very important, crowded and rough place in the early part of the 20th century and the stories you will hear on this tour give a good flavor of that time, just know that it's more like watching a movie "based on a true story", than a documentary.
