Located in the heart of the Cotton District behind the "famous" BIN612 of the "Cheese Fries" fame. Mini doughnuts are prepared to order and come out piping hot in a reasonable amount of time. However I could see them getting backed up quickly at peak times. We chose the Cookies & Cream, Lemon Cheese Danish, Strawberry Funnel Cake and Turtle flavors to try. The base of all the doughnuts is a vanilla cake batter cooked to order with various glazes and toppings used to create the many flavors. We both agreed that our favorite was the Turtle and liked the Cookies & Cream the least. It was the only one would probably not order again. There is no seating, you order at one window and pick up at another when ready. As my daughter suggested, I imagine that they do a really good amount of business staying open late after some of the other district establishments are closing or calling for last round. I will definitely come back to try more flavors and I'm sure my daughter & her friends with pick some up for a late night "studying" boost regularly as well.

My wife swears by this place. Based on the reviews, so does everyone else. We have to stop every…read moresingle time we drive by, coming and going. I just don't think it's that good, any of it really... I don't even go inside any more when we stop. There is nothing that I want enough to burn the calories on. My wife won't ever admit it, but we throw away most of what we buy every single time. No one eats it. It just sits there and molds. I take that back, the rolls (maybe butter horns, am I making that up?) are pretty good. I'll tear them suckers up right out of the toaster oven. The cinnamon rolls, baked goods, and loaf breads are all dry and taste to be made with dirt cheap ingredients to me. Chex mix stuff is even bland. How is that!?!?!? I've never had a sandwich so maybe I am missing out. I'm not a big sandwich guy though. It's just not my thing. Last time we came through, she got Lasagna and some Ham and Potato Casserole. After taking a bite of the lasagna, I checked the ingredients and number two on the list is Cottage Cheese! What in the actual...?? Who does that? Not a sign of any garlic at all. Look at my pics for the ingredients yourself. Ham and Potato thing was terrible. Just awful. She didn't even eat that. I'm not even sure who would like that. Additionally, the directions are crap in the casseroles. Double them all as far as time is concerned. I'm not sure if it's my tastebuds that are shit now from all of the spicy food I am used to, or if this stuff is really not as good as the mystique and nostalgia that country folks like to say it has. People are friendly, the place is fairly well kept for an old country bakery . You can see the kitchen making the baked goods. I just don't dig it. '24 - 48/100

Ole Country Bakery - OCB Lasagna. Sounded like a good idea! Their cooking directions are comical. Easily double all of that cook time nonsense.
