Perfect…read moreweather, so many apple varieties, lots of stuff to entertain kids, etc. Not only are they affordable, but it's set up as a great family oriented experience. We saw so many different varieties of families from just friends & couples, to multi-generational families like ours. The young people who work here were patient and kind to all. The store by the orchard was spotless with two restrooms inside and two port-a-potties outside. Besides picking apples, they had a slide and play area for kids ($5 wristband, unlimited), a little trolley painted like bumblebees, and an apple cannon. The store had packaged mixes, local honey, and different varieties of cider. Their freshly made apple cider donuts and apple fritters were delicious but the warm apple cider (not pictured) warmed my soul and body. Definitely on the calendar for all of us to return next year!

I live close by and am saddened by this attitude. I won't be back and will be spending my hard earned money across the street at Sugar Loaf. Staff/owners at SL are helpful and go out of their way to be nice. It's not that hard to love others instead of being haters. I generally walk around with a smile on my face and a ready kind word for another. Deal Apple Orchards Store has a bad vibe all the way around.

One because the staff are friendly and two because they carry Arkansas Black apples, my favorite! These apples make the best pies. Oddly, I learned of these apples over 10 years ago when my son was in kindergarten and his school went on a field trip to the orchard. I learned a lot that day and gained a new favorite apple. So for the past 10 years I've been making the trip through Taylorsville to Deal Apple House. I also buy my honey from this store. Local honey helps my allergies and I usually make a second trip in the Spring for another jar. They also sell Ashe County cheeses and I'll grab a block or two of it while I'm there. I like the vibe this apple house has and I love the products! The last visit there was a couple playing bluegrass on the porch, so you never know what extras you might get when you visit! This area is beautiful any time of year! Well worth the drive.

There was a lot to look at and prices were not too bad being a tourist spot. If someone is on vacation this would be the place to stop at! There is so many items that they could bring home. No one acknowledged us being there, they had a few customers at the counter and a few walking around. If you have to use a restroom they do offer a outhouse, and it was clean to use. We didn't personally see anything we had to buy since we stop at some others in the area when we take a ride. We will for sure stop by again especially if we need any jar items or cider. They did just get some apples in as well they looked good.
