OMG! This is THEE place to go for those late-summer sunflower pictures! My daughter, who is 13, loves sunflowers so much and they were so nice at Sugartown Strawberries! Also, their fresh produce is really amazing. The strawberries my sister brought me from them last May (we live in Baltimore, so we only go when we visit my sister), were like the kind I've gotten from California when I lived out west. Juicy, plump, you can sloppily eat up half a pound before you realize you need to save some for the strawberry shortcake dessert you promised your family and friends who are coming to dinner, LOL! This is a great place to bring out of town visitors who want to enjoy a truly delightful Pennsylvania farm. It's less than two hours from Baltimore, so definitely worth the trip if you live in the DMV. May they plant long and prosper! read more

This is a very product forward little farm, so don't expect a ton of activities here to entertain kids or large groups of people. They have a lovely large field of sunflowers, and honestly I would encourage anyone to come here more for the sunflowers rather than the pumpkins and autumnal goods. They have a mid sized collection of pumpkins for sale, but not many different varieties. It's a pretty little farm, but very bare bones when compared with competitors. read more

A lovely working farm but a little underwhelming unfortunately. There wasn't much in the way of a pumpkin patch and what there available, it was hard to get at. Most of the pumpkins were precut and ready for purchase which I get but it takes away from the enjoy of going to a pumpkin patch. The shop was more of a small kiosk with little knick knacks and some preserves. Parking was a bit chaotic but not the worse thing. read more

My clients/friends recently moved to Philadelphia so I came up for a visit in early September to enjoy some cooler-than-Texas weather. We decided to drive outside the city to get to know their new home and found this lovely place! The atmosphere here is so "sweet" and really lovely! The strawberries themselves are so fresh and delicious, I don't know how I will go back to store-bought. Support this fantastic small farm and enjoy their delicious produce! read more

We typically would do their Christmas Train, and rarely got back to Lancaster in the warmer months. As soon as I planned my latest summer trip, I knew it had to be on the itinerary. This place has it all from gigantic slides to gold mining sluice areas to a mini kids village that mine couldn't get enough of from the mini vet office to the drive in theater. From here, you can make your way up the hill where there is a restaurant, a coffee kiosk with a delicious coconut water cold brew (wild!), and plenty of shaded sections with swinging chairs. The car show gets a few hundred cars. If you want to enter your car it's $20 cash at the gate. They give you a small tin plaque and a registration card for your window. Since my car isn't winning any awards I don't stay till 3 pm to await the judges choices. My car is nice, but not prize winning nice but that's ok. It's a fun few hours. It got too hot by noon to stay longer. Weather in early May is tricky. Highly recommend checking out the car show. The general store on the grounds is huge. Bought lots of stuff to take home.

We spent most of the first few hours walking around the zoo that had a huge chicken range, duck pond, cow, goats, sheep and horses. There are vending machine to buy corns to feed the animals. We had to get our own quarters as the coin exchange machine was broken. Around the noon we head to the Linvilla Grill. They had some good pizza and chicken tenders. There were few outdoor benched to dine. Price was little steep. The freshly squeezed lemonade was outrageous. They make the whole thing by grinding lemon right in front and put it in a huge plastic 32 oz jar. It is so worth for $8. We also bought some peaches and cooking sauces from the market. Cash is preferred, for credit card they charge fee at the market checkout.

Anyways, The Peanutty is my favorite and my partner loves the Greentastic. I recently tried the Elite and it's delicious with quality ingredients. Although I haven't had the pleasure of visiting in person, I have to commend this wonderful farm and the lovely couple who run it. They clearly pour their hearts into cultivating such beautiful sunflowers and delicious corn. It's unfortunate to see negativity targeting people who are simply passionate about what they do. Best strawberries ever, wish I lived closer to get them in person. It's too bad that there are so many hateful people in this country that feel the need to publicly call out/dump on/be miserable to because they don't agree with their political stance. They should be ashamed. read more

The farm now looks amazing with the mums and pumpkins displayed. And there are plenty of tempting goodies in the store. Bob's corn is fresh, usually a couple times a day, and always delicious. Buy it fresh & buy it local! Thanks Bob & Kristina for all of your hard work! read more

Funny, can't find my previous review! Any place that only accepts CASH has something to hide . Will not support this place. Pay taxes on your true income like all the other small businesses. The whole world uses debit cards and credit cards. read more
