The vegetables looked better than I imagined! Huge, freshly harvested and inexpensive. I tasted the "sweet" onion garlic this morning and it was good. I did my routine vegetable cleansing of submerging in a vinegar and water mix then rinsing in water again. The leaf lettuce freshly was the freshest I've tasted. I'M SO EXCITED TO EAT THESE VEGETABLES! My next stop is to find FARM FRESH eggs. Any suggestions? read more

Seriously this is my favorite produce stand in my hometown! They are worth the drive from my parents house. They have it all, vegetables, fruits and flowers. The moment I walk up to see what they have I start thinking about all the things I can make. They are so nice as well. I love the selection of fruits and vegetables they usually have some pretty plants and herbs. I usually see the plants and herbs earlier in the season. I love the fall decorations. read more

Barry Davis Produce Stand has the absolute best corn around - incredibly fresh, sweet, just perfect! We love their sugar sweet cantaloupe also, and whatever other fruits/veggies are in season. They are always so helpful and it's great to support a family business. They also sell Frecon Farms treats, breads and baked goods, and local honey. I shopped this produce stand for years, long before they moved to Collegeville Rd. Last year and now this year the tomatoes have been horrible. I used to rave about their tomatoes, waited all winter for them. The past couple years the taste is awful, they don't ripen and they are now grossly overpriced. They taste like run of the mill bland grocery store tomatoes. Is it possible this stand is now getting them from the food distribution center in S Philly? Like the old saying states, you get what you pay for...if you want delicious melons, corn, red juicy tomatoes, etc., go to this farm market. I just finished a melon and a tomato & Swiss cheese sandwich, the melon was sweet and great" and the tomatoes were "almost" as good as Jersey tomatoes. I can't say the farm market is inexpensive, but it is well worth the extra few $ as opposed to the grocery store read more

I love produce stands. Fresh veggies that smell and taste like the ones from my childhood, colorful local personalities behind the counter, crazy low prices, what's not to love? I found this stand on my way to pick up a Craigslist purchase, stopped on a whim because I had a craving for fresh tomatoes. I got a basket of beautiful "seconds", a cucumber and a gorgeous canary melon for $5! On the way home my car was fragrant with the smell of those tomatoes. They had a good selection available. Peppers, onions, garlic, lots of other veggies. Peaches, nectarines, watermelon, canary melons, honey lopes, and others. Everything was ripe and smelled delicious. The kicker was they were closing as we left and on the way back to the car, they told us to take a few bunches of zinnias since they wouldn't keep until the next day. I got home, whipped up a delicious tomato and cucumber salad with balsamic vinegar, basil and sea salt then ate it while enjoying the splendid rainbow of fresh cut flowers on my table. read more

I am an avid Yelp user, but I rarely post reviews unless a place really resonates with me. This is the quintessential farm market in the Collegeville area. Unless you were looking for it, it would be nearly impossible to stumble upon this hidden gem. It is more than obvious that they practice great agricultural technique that yields vibrant, healthy, and delicious fruits and vegetables! I believe anyone who tries their produce will have a hard time ever stepping in a supermarket aisle again. As soon as I got home, I couldn't resist throwing together a salad with their delectable tomatoes, local lettuce, earthy and natural-tasting onions and garlic. Normally supermarket-type salad has to be drowned in dressing to be appetizing. Being able to let the produce shine brings a joy to preparing and consuming food -- not merely just consuming to stay alive. From their melons, blueberries, tomatoes, peppers, and summer squash -- to their sweet corn, potatoes, and variety of greens, this produce stand stands above all the rest. My absolute favorite farm stand! Corn often put out straight from the tractor picking it. The bi-color corn is amazing. All fruits and vegetables are local grown. Prices are very reasonable. Family run. They also sell fresh-cut flowers from their fields. Pumpkins and gourds in the autumn. read more

This is our favorite produce stand! The fruits and vegies are always fresh and delicious! Besides the healthy food, the stand is very attractive and the people who own and work there are very attentive. They will even help you carry things out to your car if need be. The flowers are also lovely....not always your typical flowers. They're thoughtfully arranged so if you want to just take them home and put them in your own vase as is, you're set! They are helpful and best of all local They stand by their products and will always pick you the best selection of what is in season. One of the best memories as a kid in the farmlands of Pennsylvania is the local fruit, corn, vegetable market, and this one doesn't disappoint ! If I could add another five stars I would. This is by far the best farm stand I have found in the area since moving here eight years ago. I make several trips a week. I can't wait until they open every year and am sad when they close for the winter. Their vegtables/fruit/flowers are super fresh and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to June. read more

The produce here is out of this world, far beyond any produce stand that I have ever been to. The freshness and flavors cannot be beat by any other competitor. The people that work here are dedicated to providing you with the best seasonal produce that they can. All of the vegetables, Melons, and flowers are home-grown by them, with their Orchard products being grown locally. You will not find a better, fresher selection of produce around! Their claim to fame is the sweet corn and tomatoes (in which they have specialized in growing for years), but any of their other fruits and vegetables are just as wonderful. I support this local business because it consists of some of the most hardworking, loving people, and you will be sure to taste that hard work and care in their produce. They are open past the fall til around mid November. During the fall they sell a huge selections of pumpkins and other fall staples like squash and hay bails. I've been shopping at the Davis Produce Stand for over 20 years. Yes, the corn is wonderful. but so is everything else -- from heirloom tomatoes, to Saturn peaches, to Yummy peppers, and sweet potatoes. The flowers are amazing, as is Peggy. The best, without a doubt. read more
