It's basically a gourmet doughnut holes shop, with plenty of fancy coffees and cold beverages to accompany. I wanna say, think Tim's crossed with Starbucks, with the emphasis on the Puffs. The puffs are made to order, with so many flavours to choose from. You can purchase half dozen, dozen, and up, and mix the flavours for each half dozen. We bought a combo box of Oreo and Nutella. You can watch the staff preparing the dough in the kitchen, and while they add your toppings at the counter. Idk if they somehow learned about it being a birthday visit, or this is usual, but we got a baker's dozen. I'll take that puff instead of a cherry on top for sure, because they were delicious. They are on the sweet side. Our drinks were also on the sweet side but delicious. The coffee is freshly ground on order and everything tasted fresh. We both opted for coffee based cold drinks but they have slushees, fruity and I think some tea options. The coffee was nice and strong without tasting bitter. The seating was a little odd, cute little stools in line with the honeycomb decor as opposed to chairs. The space felt really open, like your conversation can be heard all around. It was clean and very spacious. The staff on our visit were great. I would definitely return if it were closer to me, and I will totally check out other locations.

The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

It was tough for me to decide. I finally went with the matcha nut, which consists of three flavours. It has ube (purple), activated charcoal coconut (black), on top of matcha (green). I got the black cone, which is activated with charcoal. The charcoal comes from coconut husks. Cool! My cone cost $7.35 with tax. It's not cheap, but it's all about the experience. I paid using my debit card. The woman working at the stand was great at making my order. I was so happy to see it. I thanked her and left. This ice cream is definitely photogenic. Even in bad lighting, this ice cream on a cone looks good. I liked the taste. The ice cream was creamy and good. I could taste the ube and matcha. I couldn't taste the coconut, though. Perhaps I need to get the black ice cream only. The matcha was divine! If you are a true matcha fan, this ice cream has your name stamped all over it. The black ice cream leaves your tongue all black. Don't go for a doctor's appointment for your throat issue after you have had it here. I loved how crispy the cone was.
