After using them for years I brought my car in for a slow leak in one of the tires and they said the tire had a tear on the inside wall and would be dangerous. Went into Sullivan's today to have a brake lamp notice and low tire pressure notice coming up on my Ford suv. I am leaving on a 4,000 Mi trip thursday. The Ford dealer wanted the car for 2 days. Called several other places they said no they couldn't check it. Immediately checked my tires corrected the pressure. And changed my brake light bulb. Did it all in 15 minutes. When my husband tried to pay him he said no charge! We are 80 and 87-year-old travelers. And I think today Dave Sullivan was our angel. Highly recommend his shop. read more

They put a gigantic 2 foot crack in our windshield after we brought it in for a simple tire change. They refused to take responsibility for the crack in the windshield even though it was not present when the car was dropped off. Hello, I went to Sullivan Tire in Hyannis today with a nail in my tire. I asked if they could fix it and the man said, " No, I can't today, but you can leave it for the day and maybe I will get to it." All it needed was a plug. There were three bays open. How long does a plug take? Not all day or days. Not a pleasant man maybe manager to talk to. What if the situation was different and it was his wife or mother with a nail in their tire. Would the service have been different. Maybe there should be a bay open for emergencies. Poor attitude and service here. read more

was there a few weeks ago to get an alignment? Manager asked me why I'm there told him I had front end work done. I sit down 15 minutes later he comes back out and says that I have a screw in my tire tells me that it's not patchable tells me that he'll get me a tire book that it will not match the rest of the other three tires so I told him OK never mind I will get the tires somewhere else. He wasn't too happy about that so I left and I went and got a new tire somewhere else and also got the tire that he said was not patchable patched two weeks later, I feel play in the wheel front end, making noise so I go back there with my hazard lights on because I did not if something was gonna fall out while I was driving and kill someone ... so I left the truck there and I left. He asked me numerous times why I had my hazard lights on so he calls me and tells me that I need this steering gearbox. Power steering press and struts now mind you I just put full brand new shocks in steering idler arm, steering Pitman arm steering idler arm, BR engine holes cooler hose front desk, brake rotor front desk brake pads total $3300 so with all this wrong with it, he still did a wheel alignment so in reality the first time I left there, he should have never let my truck Leave his shop he was a complete asshole as a manager and should be fired so I go into my truck and absolutely everything in the back was all over the place. He told me they were going to take it for well when they did that, they basically manhandle my vehicle because even things they were strapped to the wall were sideways. Definitely reporting this shop and the idiot that runs it David complete douche bag that he is and should not be running that place at all. Maybe after 25 years he's tired of doing what he does and the only reason I don't go in there and slap them around like a little bitch is cause I don't wanna go to jail him and his clown took my truck for a joyride. If there was a negative star I would choose it. Picture this- Saturday at 3:10 PM on a Memorial day weekend- pouring rain on my way back from Truro to Boston, with 2 dogs. Tire alarm light goes on. Once before this occurred and I didn't see ithe warning light- my tire blew up on 495 going 65+ miles an hour- I was nearly killed- so I knew this was serious, very serious. I pull over and google tire repair and call Sullivan in Hyannis. I was told that "they close soon" but if I could be there "in 20 minutes they might"be able to repair it. They close at 5:00- again, it was 3:10 PM when I called. I made it there in 15 minutes. The guy was nice enough and let me bring my 2 dogs into the waiting area. He told me, "bad news" tire can't be repaired and they would have to " replace all four". He said there was a nail in the tread and a piece of "metal stuck in my tire" that created a "four inch gash" in the SIDE of my tire. Yikes, right?? I am desperate to get home- I tell him I'll buy four tires- more bad news- don't have any in stock but can ( miraculously) have them by Tuesday- day after Memorial Day. I'm pretty sure they didn't want to take the time to install and balance the tires. When I got home I googled their inventory and they had 73 tires that would have matched my Subaru Outback. It was not, after all a Tesla. I drove nearly 100 miles home on a "donut" which on their advice I had to stop every 49 miles to "cool down" the tire" and could not exceed 50 miles an hour. When I got home I brought my car to my mechanic of 11years- and guess what?? - NO "nail"- NO "gash" in the side of my tire. Simply a very small piece of metal (they showed me) in the tread. They repaired it and I was out of their in less than 30 minutes. I contacted Sullivan Tire and they were dismissive, condescending and did not let me finish a sentence. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

He couldn't find my appointment because he was looking under my first name & then was annoyed like it was my fault. When I asked him a question ,this is his exact quote " I can't breath under this mask because I have boogers stuck in my nose", are you kidding me. What a disappointment. I came here because this is supposedly the only shop that can repair the very low profile/upside down dish wheels & tires like the ones on my sports car. I understand that it's a tire place, not a four star hotel. I'm not expecting free espresso and hot towels. But these sales people seem to only be talented at stretching the truth over their customer's eyes. Skilled at manipulating a bunch of unknowing, trusting locals about what's happening with their cars. Wasting huge amounts of everyone's time! I'm sitting in a waiting room with a few other out-of-patience customers. It's almost 4pm. Dropped off the car, AFTER phoning ahead to check their schedule, at 10:30. Do not support this place. Went there around 5:45 to have them check my battery and the manager refused to help me. Said to come back the next day. RIGHT. I looked at him and asked if he was serious and he said yes. I went across the street to Davis Auto service who not only checked my battery but my whole system in about 5 minutes and did not charge me. He also was closing at 6. He wanted to help me the Sullivan Tire manager clearly did not. So sad ................stay away from this place and go across the street. read more

I was very happy with the visit and will definitely be back again. I bought tires from them earlier this year and their warranty covers free tire rotations, balancing, and they even repaired a small leak in the tire for free. Very good place to have your tires replaced. I had bought four new tires on the internet and needed a place to install them. The first place I called wouldn't do it, they only installed tires they had sold. I called Sullivan Tire, and they 'came to the rescue'. I dropped the car off in the morning, and returned in time to watch them high-speed balance and install the tires. What impressed me was they they finished off the installation by torquing every nut with a calibrated torque wrench. Very professional, I have not seen that done at any tire place before, and I've seen many. Also, I asked, and they allowed, me to walk under the car while it was on the lift, to inspect the underside for wear, damage, etc. I am giving them a slight ding for the rather tired-looking waiting area, and the courteous and professional, but not overly friendly staff. On their recommendation I purchased new Michelin Latitudes for my Landcruiser. They did an alignment during the install, but after a month the tires already exhibited unusually bad wear on the outer edges. I brought this to their attention and they did another alignment and said it was fine, it must be the way I drive. I moved on with my life, having the tires rotated regularly and now under 2 years later they are completely bald only on outer edges. I went back to Sullivan and they said the early excessive wear must be from the truck being out of alignment and I must have the truck aligned every year. I told them that we both know it's not an alignment issue because it was happening within a month after two alignments. I asked them if their business would do anything for me given the circumstances in regard to new tires. They told me they would give me $20 off an alignment (after selling me $1,400 tires that wore out before 30,000 miles.) They are absolutely terrible. read more

Went to sullivan & Got front breaks done due to squeaks starting to occure, They tried to sell me a full front & rear brake replacement, But the back Drums had about 45% pad left on them so I turned down the rear. The brake service included a COMPLETE BRAKE INSPECTION cost 550$ total with parts. The night I picked the car up I was driving to a friends & the rear hoses (Witch They Had Inspected) had rot (That was not brought to my attention) & blew. To slow down I had to use my E-Break pulling onto rocks witch popped my driver side tires & scrapped my undercarriage. I had to pay for a 200$ tow to get the car back to them & a further 300$ on tires & Rear brake parts. They called after they looked at it and said I should have gotten the rear breaks done & told me I needed new tires. They took a video & pictures that he "Tried to send me but said my phone wouldn't accept them" My sister sent me picture less than a minute later, I asked too see the video when I went to pick up my car & to save my old parts witch I did not get.... Bottom line is they should have told me to do the rear hoses if they were worn or rotted only & said they did not notice the rot, Basically telling me they did not inspect the system, Just the pads & drums to make the sale. Looking Into the process of going to small claims court to recue damages due to not doing a proper inspection with Legal Cunsultant. I also looked up the mechanic that worked on my car who had no ASE certification in a shop where all techs are supposedly ASE certified. Malpractice in this place. AVOID!! Especially for getting breaks done. read more
